"Ahh, so you are skilled in Illusion, then, in addition to Enchanting?" Mercator asked Alandier with a tone of admiration.

"We came to Skingrad to trade items and for me to offer my enchanting services, but now I have learned of a group of fighters who are being threatened by a band of aggressive necromancers. I have offered--we have offered to help them. And so, I would like to enchant some items. Would you mind if I use your basement? I've brought my own supplies," Zandralia said.

"And what will your Khajiit friend do in the meantime?" Corinne asked as she turned her attention back to Haaji.

"Umm, maybe you could go help the fighters with whatever they're doing now?" Zandralia suggested with a shrug. "This is a job I'm probably better off doing on my own, if you don't mind."

"If you command it, I will do so." Haaji said. "Where are these fighters? Better yet, where are these Necromancers?" Haaji cracked his knuckles. "I am anxious to test a mage in fair combat."

"There's the one who was caught, who got taken to the castle dungeon," Zandralia answered. "The others said they wanted to question her in order to find the others."

"Indeed I am," Alandier said smugly. "I am an Expert in controlling the mind as well as binding souls to objects." He looked at the Steward in a new light. "And you obviously enchant. What other skills might you possess?"

"I see," Haaji said, rather disappointed. "I am not an interrogator. Unless you think some Skooma would loosen her tongue."

Corinne's house
"I trust your judgement about how you would be most useful," Zandralia said.

Necromancers
"I dabble in many schools, but Necromancy and enchanting are the only two I feel comfortable with. Did Simande tell you she used to be a teacher of mine? But anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to use illusion to do some more, shall we say, permanent convincing of--" Mercator began whispering to Alandier.

"Don't even think about it. Thanks for your help, but we're just not into that," Andaril butted in, his voice at first a whisper but quickly rising in volume.

"Will you guys Please. Shut. Your. Mouths. while I am trying to concentrate!" Simande growled.

"Please excuse my rude companions," Alandier began. "I am a man of intellect, always willing to try something if I can learn from it. Let us talk more in private," he said, leading Mercator away from the enchanting table. Drelesa stayed to watch Simande take off her robe.

"Haaji will follow the others," Said Haaji. "And decide what to do when he assesses the situation."
