.....Actually, you may see some stupid posts, but none that go past the rules.

I think the members should have a say in who gets to be the new mods.

We could have a thread where people volunteer to be mods, then another thread were we vote on who should be a mod.

Leave it to Leilah to decide who the new mods are, she should be able to do it herself really.

We should go by the age requirement, what they've done, and the time zone.

I guess you're free to PM her. Otherwise, completely up to her.

And was that rule made when we only had 1 moderator, with 3 or 4 more to appoint?

Argue all you want, the decision is up to Lei alone. Starting threads to volunteer for modship or voting for new mods will not get results, and it just seems like the people pushing for them just want to sell themselves as suitable mods. In case you've all forgotten the aim of this thread, it was Lei politely requesting that we be on our best behaviour. I hate to backseat mod and go off-topic, but we need to just trust her and give her a chance.

Then Josjie will come back in a year, with the whole Netherland's military at his back. And we'll kick their ass.

Just saying. We shouldn't pick, but we SHOULD get to express our opinion. This is literally like UESP's mid-life crises, though, it's actually real.

Let's all cheer up and let Leilah do her job. Without interference. She's the mod for a reason.

Even though I only skimmed the thread, Veck is right. If you want to be a mod, just do what you're supposed to. It also helps to have at least a little bit of experience. Trust me on this one.
