Redoran Stronghold
7 August 2002

To start your stronghold once you reach Rank 4, talk with Galsa Gindu at her home in Ald'ruhn's Manor District. She will required a payment of 5000 gold and a construction contract. The contract can be obtained from Duke Vedam Dren in the Grand Council Chamber in Ebonheart if you promise to aid the people of Vvardenfell. Once you give the money and contract to Galsa the construction of your stronghold will begin. After a few days, you'll receive a journal entry telling you to speak with Galsa again. Galsa tells you to speak to the stronghold foreman and make sure everything is ok. The stronghold is East along the road between Ald'ruhn and Maar Gan. The foreman, Bugdul gro-Kharbush, will tell you that everything is fine and it should be finished within the week. Report back to Galsa and within a few days you'll receive another journal entry telling you that the first phase of your stronghold, Bal Isra, is complete.

Stronghold Phase 2
7 August 2002

Speak with Galsa Gindu at her home in Ald'ruhn's Manor District again to start the first upgrade of your stronghold after it is initially constructed. She tells you to speak with Percius Mercius at the fighters guild in Ald'ruhn to recruit some guards. Percius agrees to hire you some help, but asks you to first rescue his friend, Frelene Acques, from the prison in the Hlaalu Compound in Vivec. The prison can be reached via the Hlaalu Treasury and you'll have to deal with the guard either before or after you free Acques. Free and escort the prisoner to outside of the treasury where you'll part company (alternatively, you can just steal the key to her cell and give it to her). Report back to Percius who will send some men to guard your stronghold and then speak to Galsa to start the second phase of construction. You will receive a journal entry after a few days to indicate when it is complete.

Stronghold Phase 3
7 August 2002

Once you reach the rank of Councillor, speak with Galsa Gindu at her home in Ald'ruhn's Manor District to start the second and last upgrade of your stronghold. She will send you to speak with Hetman Guls from your stronghold's small village who will tell you that you need to attract some more settlers, specifically more single women (just two will do). There are a number of methods of getting the women. Fathusa Girethi at the Ald Skar Inn and Aryni Orethi outside her house in Ald'ruhn will both agree to come to your village once you persuade them (90 disposition required). You can also buy two slaves for 200 gold from Savile Imayn in Tel Aruhn. Alternately, Galyn Arevel in Ald Velothi will agree to send escaped slaves to your stronghold. Helviane Desele at her 'establishment' in Suran will tell you that some of her dancers are ready to retire if you persuade her enough (70 disposition). Once any two of these woman agree to live in your stronghold speak with Galsa again to begin the last phase of construction. You will receive a journal entry in a few days when construction is complete.

Hostile Mudcrab Nest
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to take care of some nasty mudcrabs that have attacked Drulene Falen's Guar herd. Falen's hut and her herd is far to the West of Ald'ruhn, near the coast (Neminda should give you some good directions). Once you talk with Falen, she will confirm and tell you that the mudcrabs dragged a Guard off to the SouthWest. Nearby, you should find a dead guar and two mudcrabs nearby. Kill the mudcrabs and return to Falen for a reward of some Hackle-lo Leaf.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest. Note that this is one of the few quests that don't require that you are a member of the house.

Deliver a Cure Disease Potion
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to deliver a Cure Disease Potion to Theldyn Virith at the outpost in Ald Velothi (North of Gnisis along the coast). Just find him and give him the potion. Note that if you lose or use the potion along the way, just find any other Cure Disease potion and give it to him.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Find Dalobar
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to find the missing trader, Dalobar. He had passed through Ald'ruhn but hasn't shown up at either Maar Gan or Gnisis. Start by asking around town at either of those destinations, though no one at Gnisis will know anything. Villagers in Maar Gan, however, will tell you that an ash storm had delayed the trader and some may report seeing him near the Rothan Tomb (just West of Town). You'll find Dalobar near the entrance and you can escort him back to Maar Gan (he'll stop near the temple).

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Stolen Founder's Helm
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to retrieve a Founder's Helm stolen by Alvis Teri. Apparently Alvis is bold (or stupid) and has been bragging about the theft and even wearing the helm around at the Eight Plates in Balmora. The trick is that you must retrieve the helm without killing Alvis, which would bring dishonor to the Great House. You basically have two options: presuade him enough for him to give you the helm (75 disposition required) or taunt and kill him to get the helm and avoid the murder charge.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn with the helm to complete the quest.

Guar Bandits
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to once again help out Drulene Falen and her Guar herd (far West of town near the coast if you've forgotten). Falen has been having some trouble with brandits who have stolen another of her Guards. Talk to her when you reach her hut and she'll tell you that the bandits ran off to a cave to the South. The cave is the Telvayn Ancestral Tomb (I think) and has two guard outside of it. Kill the two bandits inside and return to Falen to collect some more Hackle-lo Leaf.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest. Note that this is one of the few quests that don't require that you are a member of the house.

Guard Athyn Sarethi
6 August 2002

Neminda in the Ald'ruhn Redoran Hall in the Manor District will ask you to guard Athyn Sarethi, found in the Sarethi Manor in Ald'ruhn. Upon arrival you might think you are too late, as you'll find two dead guards, but fortunately Sarethi is still alive. Unfortunately, as soon as you talk to Sarethi, two assassins will appear and attack him. Fortunately Sarethi is quite tough and with his help you should be able to dispatch them. Talk to Sarethi once they are dead. Once you reach Rank 3 you can use Sarethi as a sponsor to be promoted.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Old Blue Fin the Slaughterfish
6 August 2002

Once you finish Neminda's Courier quest, Theldyn Virith in the outpost at Ald Velothi will ask you to will a dangerous slaughterfish known as Old Blue Fin. The fish is somewhere around the Ald Velothi docks and has been annoying the Dreugh hunters.

Report back to Theldyn in Ald Velothi once the slaughterfish is dead to complete the quest.

Infected Ashimanu Mine
6 August 2002

Once you've finished Neminda's Founder's Helm quest, Theldyn Virith in the outpost at Ald Velothi will ask you to kill the infected Shalk in the Ashimanu Mine. The Mine is along the road between Gnisis and Ald'ruhn and you only have the one infected Shalk to kill.

Report back to Theldyn in Ald Velothi when the Shalk is dead to complete the quest.

Kill a Kagouti
6 August 2002

Theldyn Virith in the outpost at Ald Velothi will ask you to kill a Kagouti that has been harassing merchants on the road between Gnisis and Ald'ruhn. Virith also briefly mentions the Kagouti in his previous quest, so you may have already dealt with the threat.

Report back to Theldyn in Ald Velothi when the Kagouti is dead to complete the quest.

Check on Shishi Outpost
6 August 2002

Theldyn Virith in the outpost at Ald Velothi will ask you to go and check on some soldiers he sent to Shishi, a Velothi Outpost where the Telvanni hve setup a base. Shishi is found to the NorthEast in the Ashlands, NorthWest or so of Maar Gan. Just talk with Brerama Selas in the outpost and return to Virith to report. You can also talk with Temis Romavel to learn that they haven't killed all the Telvanni, as they keep hearing sounds from downstairs. The problem is exactly how to get the downstairs area. There is a secret platform near to Temis that is activated by a skull on the table. Kill the Telvanni wizard Faves Andas inside.

Report back to Theldyn in Ald Velothi to complete the quest. You get a better reward if you managed to find and kill the wizard.

Kill Gordol
6 August 2002

Once you've reached the rank of House Brother, Theldyn Virith in the outpost at Ald Velothi will ask you to kill the Daedra worshipper Gordol killed for crimes against the people of Ald Velothi. Gordol can be found in the Shrine of Ashalmawia which is just East of Ald Velothi.

Report back to Theldyn in Ald Velothi once Gordol is dead to complete the quest.

Rescue Varvur Sarethi
6 August 2002

Once you've reached Rank 4, Athyn Sarethi in his manor in Ald'ruhn's Manor District will ask you to rescue his son, Varvur, who has been accussed of murder and is being held in Venim Manor (Ald'ruhn Manor District). You must be careful when resucing him not to kill the councilman Bolvyn as the other council members will turn against you (for the main quest).

To find Varvur, find the Right Wing of the Venim Manor. In the large room, on a bench, you should find a Note to Malsa Ules and a key. The note says that the guest is in the room behind the tapestry. You'll find the door and tapestry nearby, and the key on the note opens that door (50 level lock). Remember the nearby guards won't like it if you take the key or the note. Once you find Varvur, escort him back to the Sarethi manor and his father. Note that any guards that see him will attack, so planning the fastest route ahead of time might help. You are free to kill the guards, but again be careful not to kill Bolvyn.

Report back to Sarethi with his son to complete the quest. Note that this quest is also part of the game's main quest in your attempt to become Hortator of House Redoran.

Investigate Murder of Bralen Carvaren
7 August 2002

Athyn Sarethi in his manor in Ald'ruhn's Manor District will ask you to clear his name in the murder of Bralen Carvaren and find out what actually happened. Sarethi will tell you that he is innocent of the crime and that Bralen was a friend. Keeping talking to him to learn that he thinks that his son, Varvur, may be under a spell and ask you to check his room. Check Varvur's room and take the Ash Statue. Talk to Varvur to learn that he has been having dreams when he received the statue and asks you to take it. Talk to Sarethi again about the statue and he'll direct you to Lloros Sarano at the temple in Ald'ruhn.

Report to Lloros Sarano, give him the statue, and talk about the murder of Bralen. Sarano will instruct you to tell Sarethi and his son to meet with. Travel back to the Sarethi manor and inform Athyn Sarethi to complete the quest. Note that this quest will start a series of quests from Sarano to find out where Varvur got the ash statue.

Duel Ondres Nerano
7 January 2004

Athyn Sarethi in his manor in Ald'ruhn's Manor District will ask you to defend the House Honor by challenging Ondres Nerano to a duel. Nerano is in his manor in Balmora and talk to him about slander and accept his challenge to a duel. You win if you knock him out, his health drops below 50, or he dies (which is fine as long as he issued the duel challenge first).

Report back to Sarethi in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Spawn Nerano if You've Previously Killed Him
PlaceAtPC, "Ondres Nerano", 1, 120, 0

Take Care of Smugglers in Shurinbaal
7 August 2002

Athyn Sarethi in his manor in Ald'ruhn's Manor District will ask you to take care of some smugglers in the cave of Shurinbaal by killing their leaders. The cave is just SouthWest of Gnaar Mok on the coast. Once you find the cave, you just need to kill the smugglers named Daroder amd Enjine (but feel free to kill anyone else you find there).

Report back to Sarethi in Ald'ruhn once the two smugglers are dead to complete the quest.

Mad Arethan Mandas of Milk
7 August 2002

Athyn Sarethi in his manor in Ald'ruhn's Manor District will ask you to kill a former Redoran Noble, Arethan Mandas, who has gone mad. Arethan is in a cave known as Milk and is harassing travellers by demanding for tribute. Milk is found a little ways to the West of Ald'ruhn. The simplest and quickest method, is to just kill Arethan, though there is another solution. Sarethi mentions that Arethan's father, Llerar, can be found in the Grand Council Chambers in Ebonheart, and that you might want to talk to him before travelling to Milk.

Llerar will tell you that his son went mad after Divayth Fyr kidnapped Arethan's daughter, Delyna, and believes that the return of Delyna just might cure Arethan's madness. If you've gone far enough into the main quest, you've probably encounters the recluse Divayth before, in the tower of Tel Fyr, in the islands off the East coast, SouthWest of Sadrith Mora. You don't need to talk with Fyr (in the Upper Tower), though you can, as Delyna can be found downstairs behind a locked and trapped door (be careful of Fyr's daughters who are in the area). Escort Delyna to the tower entrance. Once there, she will talk to you and give you an amulet that you can show to Arethan. Travel to Milk and show Arethan the amulet and he will become slightly more sane and promise to stop demanding tribute.

Report back to Sarethi in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest and receive a noticeable increase in disposition with all Redoran Councillors. If you report back to the grandfather in Ebonheart after rescuing Delyna, you get a reward of a Ebony Closed Helm as well. This is the last quest you receive from Sarethi.

Includes Contributions from David Porter.

Ash Statues in Ald'ruhn
7 August 2002

Once you complete Athyn Sarethi's quest to clear himself in the murder of Bralen Carvaren, Lloros Sarano in the Ald'ruhn Temple will ask you to find out where Varvur Sarethi had got the Ash Statue. Talk with Varvur in the Sarethi Manor and learn that he received it from Galtis Guvron at the Rat in the Pot Cornerclub in town. Talk with Guvron who will attack you as soon as you mention the statue. On his corpse you'll find a note signed Hanarai.

Talk with Sarano about this and he'll say he thinks it refers to Hanarai Assutlanipal who lives in his house in Ald'ruhn. Talk to Hanarai who will also attack you as soon as you mention the statue. Search her house once she is dead and you'll note that in her cellar is a Sixth House shrine.

Report back to Sarano in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Find Fedris Tharen
7 August 2002

Lloros Sarano in the Ald'ruhn Temple will ask you to find a lost pilgrim, Fedris Tharen, who was heading for the Koal Cave shrine but hasn't been seen of since. Find the cave which is South of Gnisis along the coast and you should find Tharen nearby (next to a tree along a path NorthEast of the cave entrance). Apparently he is sick and cannot make the journey back to Gnisis. He asks that you report his location so he can be cured. Of course, this begs the question of why not just curing him yourself using a scroll or spell, or even a potion (though potions you make yourself will not work). Note that you don't need to cure Tharen to complete the quest.

Report back to Sarano in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Find Beden Giladren
7 August 2002

Lloros Sarano in the Ald'ruhn Temple will ask you to find another pilgrim, Beden Giladren, who has disappeared while on the way to Maar Gan. Travel to Maar Gan and ask around town to be directed to Tralas Rendas at the shrine. Rendas will tell you that he remembers from Ashlander recently visited town demanding random for a noble with a similar sounding name. Talk to Manat Shimmabadas in the Ashlander camp who will you that Giladren is a famous noble and demands 5000 gold to release him. You can pay the random (if you are rich), kill the Ashlanders, or you can persuade Manat that Giladren is not a famous noble (you will need to get Giladren to admit he's not famous or a noble as well). This will reduce the random slightly, down to 5 gold.

Report back to Sarano in Ald'ruhn when you've freed Giladren to complete the quest.

Find Redoran Soldiers
7 August 2002

Lloros Sarano in the Ald'ruhn Temple will ask you to find out what happened to four Redoran soldiers who were sent to the Andasreth Stronghold and have not returned. You must rescue them if they are alive or bring back their Redoran shields if they are dead. The stronghold is ways North of Gnaar Mok near the coastline. Unfortunately, all the soldiers are indeed dead and can be found in a locked room at the bottom level of the stronghold.

Report back to Sarano with the four shields to complete the quest (you'll get one back for yourself).

Recover Statue for Brara Morvayn
7 August 2002

Once you've completed the Mad Milk quest, and reached Rank 6, Brara Morvayn in her quarters in the Redoran Council Hall will ask you to retrieve an ash statue in her house which has been overrun by Corprus creatures attracted by the statue. Her house is next to the giant shell in Ald'ruhn. Kill or avoid the creatures inside and recover the statue which is found upstairs. Take the statue to Lloros Sarano at the Ald'ruhn temple for it to be destroyed and return to Morvayn to complete the quest.

Retrieve Taxes for Hlaren Ramoran
7 August 2002

Once you've completed the Mad Milk quest, and reached Rank 6, Hlaren Ramoran in his manor in the Ald'ruhn Manor District will ask you to retrieve some taxes owed by Hetman Abelmawia in his hut in Gnisis. Hetman will give you the whole 60 gold that he owes which you can return to Hlaren to complete the quest. You can cheat and just give back 50 gold, but why bother since Hlaren won't give you his support if you do, meaning you won't be able to achieve the highest rank in the guild.

Find Nalvilie for Hlaen Ramoran
7 August 2002

If you've successfully completed his taxes quest, Hlaren Ramoran in his manor in the Ald'ruhn Manor District will ask you to find out what happened to Nalvilie Saren, a girl he loved in his youth. Ask people around Ald'ruhn about the girl and you'll eventually find out that she is in Vivec. In Vivec, ask around until you find out she has a shop in St. Olms Canton and her family is on top of the Redoran Canton. Her shop is on the Canal level of the St. Olms district. Unfortunately, Saren will refuse to speak with Ramoran, no matter how much you try to persuade her. You can report back to Ramoran to complete the quest.

As an alternative, if you talk to one of Ramoran's bodguards, Nalvyna Sarinith, who will act odd when you mention Ramoran. Speak to Ramoran about her and convince him to forget about the past. He will accept your opinion and give you his support without you having to try and find Saren.

Evidence for Garisa Llethri
7 August 2002

Garisa Llethri in his manor in the Ald'ruhn Manor District will ask you to help him shut down the Caldera Ebony mine by finding evidence to support his claim of corrupt Hlaalu operations. The mine is SouthWest of Caldera and the slaves there might tell you where the evidence is located (with high enough disposition), or you can simply search and find the evidence yourself. You'll possibly find two ledgers, one faked, and one true one. Take the true one back to Garisa to complete the quest.

Talk to people around Caldera to learn that is Dahleena were freed (or killed), the slaves might revolt causing the mine to close. Alternatively, you can kill the mine operators Secunia and Stlennius Vibato (though this will give you a smaller reward in the end). A slave key can be found at the top of the mine's guard tower. Once the mine is closed, report back to Llethri to complete the quest.

Rescue Llethri's Daughter
8 August 2002

Return to Athyn Sarethi to learn that Llethri might be influenced by the Telvanni and you are to find out how its being done and remove it. Travel to Sadrith Mora and talk with people in the town to learn that the Telvanni councillor Master Neloth is holding Arobar's daughter hostage in Tel Naga in the center of town. Arobar's daughter, Nartise, is held on the lower levels of the tower and is well guarded (the guards will attack you as soon as you free her). Nartise will follow you to the docks in town and will leave on her own from there. Return to Sarethi to complete the quest (you can visit the now uninfluenced Llethri as well for an additional reward).

You can buy the potions from around Vivec, though homemade potions won't work. You can also get the potions from Relms Gilvilo at the Redoran Temple in Vivec. 8 August 2002

Once you've finished the first phase of your stronghold, Faral Retheran in the Redoran Treasury in Vivec will ask you to kill a Hlaalu Lord, Raynasa Rethan, found on the Odai Plateau SouthWest of Balmora (past the Egg Mine on the ridge).

Return to Retheran in Vivec once the lord is dead to complete the quest.

Escort Deval Beleth
8 August 2002

Once you reach Rank 3 within the House, Tuveso Beleth at the Redoran Manor in Ald'ruhn will ask you to escort her son, Deval, along the pilgrimage to the Koal Cave (South of Gnisis). Talk to Deval, right beside his mom, and he'll agree for you to escort him to the cave. Deval will leave you at the end of the long trip when you approach the cave.

Return to Beleth in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.

Collect Giras Indaram's Debt
8 August 2002

Once you reach Rank 5 within the House, Tuveso Beleth at the Redoran Manor in Ald'ruhn will ask you to collect some debts owed by Giras Indaram. Giras can be found at the Armigers Stronghold in Molag Mar and will refuse to pay his debt (his brothers are amoung the best of the Buoyant Armigers, which is probably why he refuses and why you probably shouldn't just kill him outright). Ask around Molag Mar to learn that his brothers have to bug him to get him to do anything. Find one of his brothers, Tidros, again in the Armigers Stronghold, and he'll tell you to speak with Giras again and tell him that Tidros said to pay the debt. Giras will agree this time on one condition, that you must duel him to 'prove' that he owes the money. Once Giras is dead, knocked out, or takes enough damage, the duel will end (though try not to kill him as his brothers will not like it). Once you win the duel, speak to Giras again to collect the debt. Of course, the easiest and quickest route is to just pay the debt yourself when you receive the quest.

Return to Beleth in Ald'ruhn with the debt money to complete the quest.
