Topics/post/replies in Skyrim and the General Forum do not count towards post counts.

What's the point of that? It just makes me look less devoted

Upcoming release forums always have very high amounts of traffic and discussion which can make them quite spammy and hard to follow at the best of times. I think the lack of posts being counted is a good idea as it prevents users posting for the sake of it to compete on post-count.

I wonder if it'd be possible to have that restriction lifted after a user has been around for some amount of time, as hopefully by that point they'd be sensible enough not to just make spam posts all the time?

Quality, not Quanity... High postcounts make you look spammy, not devoted... and rather annoying.

Skyrim is not out yet, and all of the discussion in there is not facts. Once Skryim does come out, that forum will be moved to the Archives, as to not cause any confusion on the real game. Once Skyrim is moved, to the Archives, those posts would dissappear. Better to not have them count, than to have hundreds dissappear.

Yes, the posts in General are not counted, since they are considered "trivial" - this is UESP = Elder Scrolls Pages; Skyrim posts are not counted as the entire subject is hypothetical.

But the way you make friends here is by providing, Tesknowitall. People will notice.

I get it every night.

It's probably maintenance or something.

I have been getting this for about a fortnight. Don't worry about it, the mods know and are getting on to the admins about it.

It is a problem with the server communicating.

I already contacted Ratwar and daveh and they are looking into it. Sit tight, everyone: Avron is on it. Nothing escapes my eye.

Additionally, they are down the same time each day, which is between 8 am and 8:30 am or so for me (GMT -4). Please exercise patience during that time. If I hear a followup from our admins I will let you all know.
