After being gone several months, I returned to UESP to find that my username needed to be reactivated.

The trouble is, the reactivation email I am supposed to receive after filling out the reactivation form, never arrives, though I am told to expect it. I thought the problem might be with Chrome so I tried using IE but still no email received.

I'm able to post this message only because I registered as an entirely new user, but I'd still like to recover my original username/history and dump this new username if that is possible.

Can anyone help?

Try logging into your old account, clif9711, now. I'm not sure why the email didn't arrive - one possibility could be that your email service accidentally recognized it as spam.

I haven't had need to do much with the account tools for mods yet, but I did find an option regarding account activation and tried it, so give it a try now and let's see if that fixed it.

Ahhh, so the old account was clif9711. I was trying to reactivate clif9710 and, strangely, the system would accept that username and tell me it was sending an activation email.

It turns out that clif9711 works fine, so either you reactivated it or it was never deactivated.

That leaves me with three accounts - clif9710, clif9711 and clif2005. I will stick with the original clif9711 and, if it is possible, you can delete the clif9710 and clif2005 since they won't be used.

thanks very much

It looks like clif9710 is an account that wasn't activated and I didn't see, though I'm still not sure why the email didn't send. 9711 was the one I had tried reactivating. Glad to hear you've got your first one back! ;)

Next time you're having trouble, shoot an email to forums@uesp.net and one of the Admins will get back to you. No need to create duplicate accounts. ;)

Glad you're back!
