A question about mobile forum.

I just have a question about the mobile version of the forum.

Why are there no Smileys when I post something?

When I post stuff, sometimes I like using Smileys but there isn't any in the mobile version of the forum for some reason. I don't know if that's a UESP thing or if it's a phpBB thing.

If its possible to implement that, that would be awesome!

You can technically use them by just typing out the code they use, it's just that we don't have the quick select that the normal layout does. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd assume this is to ensure that it remains quite low on bandwidth use, since you don't have to load the images if you use the message editor in the mobile version. So I don't doubt that it could be implemented, but it might be more of a matter of trying to keep things simple first.

That makes sense. I tried typing one Smiley manually the other day but it didn't do right. It was the Smiley with the angled mouth. I didn't try typing out the others yet though. It still would be nice to have the quick select though. I actually don't see it much of a bandwidth issue since you will be looking at them in posts anyway and they are very tiny in size.

I actually used phpBB a lot in the past but I never fooled around with the mobile version. So even though I know how to work with phpBB, I know nothing about its mobile version lol.

Oh well, I'll just type them out, least the ones I can remember.

I'll try implementing the smiley buttons this weekend. They didn't come built in with the theme, so I'll have to put them in manually. Will post updates here.

Sorry to ask another question on your thread, Snake, but it's also about the mobile forum and it is this:

Is there a button or something that takes you to the 'most recent post' on each thread? There are page numbers but i can't see an arrow or anything for the last post. Currently i am having to click on the latest page and then scroll to the bottom each time.
