In order for that to work, you have to call the shot before you sink it.

Oh hey I didn't realize we had a thread.
Nooooooo D:

That part on The Talking Dead afterward where they show all the killshots, usually of walkers, that was soooo sad tonight, they showed some of her best quotes and stuff, that made me tear up :(

Looks like they're going to have a funeral in the next episode. That's going to be a tear-jerker too, I bet.

I think...this is kind of stupid.
Spoiler:
I mean, the entire premise was, okay, Beth is kidnapped, let's go rescue her. And mostly everyone had already given her up as dead. Already mourned, already put it aside. To kill her off now, is...it's dumb, imo. It would have made more sense, and been more of a tear jerker, if it was someone, anyone else. (Though they would never kill off Daryl. Fans would send even more death threats.) Does that make sense to anyone else? It just seems...well, dumb. Might as well have had her kidnapped and that be the end of her, or just have her killed off outright. Now you have the group mourning twice, and I think it's goddamn silly.

Ok, I'm all caught up on my episodes. Totally agree with you, Baloth, in that it was silly the way it happened.

Spoiler:
Beth, why? Why on earth would you do something that stupid after everything was compromised? Seriously, she was a burden to everyone from the moment she walked on the screen in Season 2. I won't miss her, she was my least favorite, BUT now the whole group is going to be demoralized in a major way. Grr. Now Maggie is going to lose her will to live and we can't have that! This totally messed everything up. She did stupid one last time. Just had to go for that extra attention. She was weak so she wouldn't have survived without Rick and the gang anyway. But damn, that was brutal.

She knew Dawn would continue allowing the officers to rape and abuse their "patients" so she chose to give up her own life in exchange for Dawn's, to make sure she wouldn't hurt anyone again.

Rosie, thanks for the most logical explanation I've been given so far.
Spoiler:
I kinda thought she may be wanting to kill Dawn when she stuffed that tiny scissor in her cast. Still though, its ruined everyone's damn day.

Time for a massive annoyance of mine.
Spoiler:
Beth's death in the mid-season finale really [&@%!] me off, in my opinion it was the worst death in the show. I just feel like it came out of nowhere. It just felt like the writers needed to kill someone off and they couldn't think of a better way to go about it. I mean really, stabbing Dawn with a pair of scissors and not expecting to get shot in the face? That episode really left a sour taste in my mouth.

I agree, the whole scene felt like it was put together because they had nothing better to do.

We're back on this Sunday! I heard a rumor that supposedly a funeral for Beth is supposed to take place. That would be weird considering all of the other way awesomer characters that have died never got one. T-Dog certainly comes to mind.

Well i certainly enjoyed this episode more than the previous one.
Spoiler:
It made me really happy seeing a lot of the dead characters showing up again (even if it's only a hallucination). I was really overjoyed seeing the Governor appear again! I also think Tyreese's death was done a lot better than Beth's was.

Time for a quick rant
Spoiler:
Rick and Carol are really [&@%!] me off the last few episodes (especially Carol and especially in the new episode). I used to like both of them, but they are quickly turning into people I hate. Carol threatening that kid was extremely low and Carol and Rick talking about taking over Alexandria just made me hate them so much. After all this time out in the wilderness they finally have a seemingly safe place and they are going to ruin it for no reason. I'm at the point where I hope their plan goes horribly wrong just so some people they love die and they see what a stupid idea it actually was. I know Rick is thinking about his group and how to protect them, but if their plan goes wrong and a fight breaks out either a: Some of his group will get killed in a gunfight or b: his group gets booted from Alexandria and they end up back where they started, I wouldn't call that "protecting his group".

I don't see anything wrong with pretending you're weaker than you really are i.e Carol or paying attention to where all the guns are located for if things go bad, but when you act on it before that happens you've turned into a traitor. At this point I feel like Rick and Carol are more of a danger to their group than the people of Alexandria are. On a side note I hated Daryl at the beginning of the episode, but he turned around for me by the end of the episode.

Rest in Pieces, Buttons. I also found it weird that Carol threatened that kid but I guess it was necessary.

Dreadark, please remember to put your comments in spoilers because not everyone watches the episodes at the same time. :)

Spoiler:
The Buttons scene was terrible. I covered my head with a blanket and tried to not cry. That was sad, crappy, UGH WHY?

Carol threatening that kid seemed like second nature to her since having to kill Lizzy. But honestly, it needed to be done otherwise that kid would ruin their plans. I agree that Rick and Carol (mostly Rick to me) are turning into people I hate.

Seriously, after your wife cheated on you and caused all of that trouble, you're going to just go ahead and try to steal the doctor's wife away? How in the heck is that possibly good for anyone? What if your kids get sick? Then again, we have to remember that morals are basically out for Rick at this point. He's a changed man and anything goes. That look he gave the doctor before the episode ended was like dayuum. My bet is that he's going to either kill the doctor himself or make it look like an accident so he can hook up with his wife.

As for Daryl, he did a turn around that was rather heartwarming. And Idk what the heck is up with Sasha. The next couple of episodes should be interesting.

I don't know Rose, I feel like a zombie apocalypse would be kinda fun.
Spoiler:
However holy crap that looked painful as [&@%!]. If i were to be killed by a zombie, i would prefer it didn't involve my mouth being torn apart. I also feel like more main characters have died this season compared to the other seasons.

In the event of a zombie uprising, whether I am a survivor or a zombie: I'm going to kick some ass.

Or, in the case of being a zombie, it's most likely I'll eat— :wat:

—okay, I'm gonna be a survivor. No matter what.

Well, that was an underhanded episode.
Spoiler:
First of all, Gabriel...what are you doing? Who wants to bet he's going down?

Noah's death was crap. That was the most brutal way to go and poor Glenn watching it! So there IS a dark side to the Alexandria group, its the fact that they leave each other for dead. Rick's group has had to do some shady things to survive but they don't leave each other for dead!

I'm hating Carol more with every passing episode. Convincing Rick to kill Jesse's husband is far too much.

Right on!

Out of curiosity, do you guys think anyone is going to die in the season finale? If so then who do you think it will be?
Spoiler:
Personally I think it will be Daryl. I feel like Negan from the comics is going to make his appearance in the season finale and kill Daryl with his bat. In the comics Glenn was probably the most popular character and he killed him with Lucille (his bat) and in the show Daryl is arguably the most popular character, so I feel like his time is coming. I mean it isn't like they haven't swapped characters for a death on the show, Hershel took Tyreese's place when it came to being beheaded and I really feel like Daryl will take Glenn's place.

^^ I've actually been discussing that with a co-worker...although we didn't talk about the swap you've just mentioned.
Spoiler:
I've been expecting all along for Negan to show up and kill Glenn. Glenn's death is most epic in the comics, and he deserves to go out with the same level of intensity in the show because he's awesome. Remember, Rick wouldn't be alive really if it weren't for Glenn who helped him escape from that tank in Atlanta.

Sorry It took me awhile to respond.
Spoiler:
While that is true, I don't think that they will kill Glenn off quite yet. Maggie has lost her sister and her father in only about 2 seasons and I feel like they won't kill off her boyfriend/husband (whatever you want to call them) so soon after both of them. Whereas Daryl has such a fan following (with the whole "if Daryl dies, we riot" thing) and I believe they will kill him off because it will be unexpected since a lot of people don't think the show will take that big of a risk. Not to mention he is pretty much Rick's right hand man and his death would be a huge blow to the group.

Edit
Spoiler:
Michael Cudlitz said in an interview that the season finale will make people angry. I believe that also suggests that Daryl is going to die.

I might ragequit the show.

Spoiler:
I figure it's either going to be Daryl or Carol. I don't know which I would prefer. Carol is dope but I love Daryl too.
