No, it's happening to mine too. Youtube has frozen twice now. Has never happened before, at least not this often.

Edit: bought mine December of 2010

Skyrim freezes often. Even more so on an older console. It is best to install the game to your hard drive so it runs smooth, quiet, and fast, just like the sneak thief you've always wanted to be.
On a side note games like Skyrim look alot better on the Xbox S. There is a huge difference in how well textures appear.

You're sure it has nothing to do with a lack/addition of an HDMI cable with your Slim, Ri'Zahr?

I've never played Xbox without an HDMI cable. Even on my older console.

Well maybe it was a coincidence? I doubt that they'd actually improve on the architecture of an Xbox SKU, performance-wise.

Why wouldn't they? Quite a few people went with PS3 because graphics looked better. In fact, that is one of the first few points that is mentioned in console wars. I wouldn't rule it out unless I had concrete evidence to show that they didn't improve it with S models.

Eh, who knows. And by the way, the PS3 can theoretically have better graphics, but since it has split RAM and a far less developer-friendly processor, that hasn't been the case in recent years.

That is an entirely different issue that is entirely Sony's fault. I don't really like to use that point in a "Xbox 360 or PS3" debate since the Xbox automatically takes the cup home on that one. Hopefully the PS4 won't have any kinks in its hardware like the PS3, this way Microsoft will actually have to out-do Sony with some new innovations and better hardware instead of slipping by with your standard run-o'-the-mill console. Also, by innovation I mean this that could change the way we plays games for the better, not the way we use our social media. Seriously, get Facebook(read: the Devil) off my Xbox. This is my gaming machine, not my PC.

Supposedly, the PS4 will have a more traditional and easy to develop for architecture, as will the next Xbox, so what we're looking at is two standardized, powerful gaming PCs, which is an amazing thing for the future of gaming, in my opinion.

Then Derp was correct. A PC would be a better choice to invest in then. If the new consoles are just going to be PCs with Sony's/Microsoft's name slapped on them, then why not just build your own PC so when better hardware is released you can just switch out the parts when you can? Instead with these new consoles we are stuck with the same hardware until Sony or Microsoft decide it is time to upgrade. While I do understand why it is a step up for console gaming, I just fail to see how it is going to be a huge step up right now.
Before I place my bet though, I'll wait for Microsoft and Sony to lay down their cards after the new console hype has died down. I think it is the wisest choice of action for now...

Well, there are benefits to having a standardized PC as a console. The developers know exactly what they're developing for, and don't have to worry about it working with all of the latest graphics cards and such.

The "gaming stuffz" will look remarkably like the PS4 demos, since both consoles are using basically the exact same hardware.

I'm glad that Microsoft has apparently now dismissed the always-on system, that makes me much more likely to buy the new console.

I don't know about the word confirmed. That's a leak, and while it admittedly looks pretty good, could still be fabricated.

I can go without the TV thing. Blue ray would be a nice addition though.
I never watched cable when I had it, don't know why I would watch TV on my Xbox.

I would love the Blu-ray capability as we have several of the discs (DVD combo packs) but nothing to play them on. We almost got a stand alone player for Christmas, but something made me say wait.
