Smoking pipes and reading papers like a bad [&@%!]!

Or he is dead due to the timeskip between games and died of old age. If i recall correctly, he is in his late 40s, early 50s and the game is set 19 years after the events of the first. I think, they said Corvos is now in his mid 50s and Emily is in her early 30s.

I do hope that Corvo is a grumpy old man and has a no [&@%!] given approach. E.g. "Corvo, stay back or I'll..." *shoots villian*

He would be 57 in Dishonored 2, but those marked by the Outsider have increased vitality so he probably wouldn't be feeling his age yet, and Corvo is only 3 years younger after all.

Oh yeah, good point. But still, i can see Corvo's gameplay being a slightly updated version of the original as it would feel natural to do that whilst Emily gets the new gadgets, powers, just like a spoiled empress.:P

I do hope that the implication of Corvo being her father is confirmed and that Emily is aware of it. Just adds another reason why he went on a bloody/bloodless path of revenge in the first game.

The devs did confirm that he really is her dad at last years E3, it's unclear if she knows it though.

P.s. Do you guys have any character from first game you want to meet again?

Sadly it was just a matter of scheduling conflicts.

And while it seems unlikely I would love to find out what Daud has been up to in his retirement.

Ya daud is cool because michael Madsen did a good job so i hope we get to see him too. If i only have one choice though I would pick cecelia. this is unlikely too thought but it's just a hope.

It's not the worse they could do by changing voice actors, unlike a certain big franchise that managed to [&@%!] off the original voice actor for an iconic character by not even letting him know that he wasn't returning until he got wind of it via the media.

Outsider, well, a change of voice can be handwaved as him either getting bored of his voice and altering it or outsider, son. I can see Cecelia having worked in Emily's court as a reward or invited to live at the palace.

Old Sam is most likely dead(the boatguy, if i recall) due to him pushing 60 or late 50s. Could see him being mentioned by Corvo.

I pity the fools that [&@%!] off Corvo again. [&@%!] off Emily, you best hope she kills you. [&@%!] off Corvo, he'll either kill you if he is merciful or subject you to a fate worse then death. That said, i hope the non-lethal options for targets are very creative for both characters.

Some screenshots.

The creepy porcelain robots look like birds now, so that's pretty neat.

Billie Lurk could make sense when it comes to returning characters, she could be in charge of her own gang, gifted by The Outsider and able to give a portion of that gift to her followers like Daud and Delilah. Have her in a Slackjaw like role.

Yeah, consider also that there's graffiti talking about a "Crownkiller" and Billie Lurk killed the ruling duke's brother when she was younger.

Ok, that one in particular seems like a long shot but I would love to see her again.

I haven't seen it in any of the promo images yet but I imagine we'll still have the heart, Corvo could always give it to Emily. Now I'm all for Emily following in her father's footsteps but I hope any girlfriend she has isn't killed and has their consciousness trapped in a heart.

I'd be pretty neat if references to Daud were implicit rather than explicit. Like if Billie is in the game she just talks about someone she calls "The Old Man" without saying his name or if using the heart has it say about how she still checks up on the man she betrayed. A lot of narrative details in Dishonored (like the heart being Jessamine) are implicit rather than just flat out said and it's something I'd like to see continue.

In the beginning if you chhose emily to play, i think Corvo will die and have his consciousness in a heart or maybe a skull. His is serkonan after all so he knows the land and can offer tios and lore on the maps.

They did confirm that the heart will return, I can't remember if they specified that it was for both of them though, but I think so.

I doubt they will kill off Corvo. There has been gameplay screenshots of Corvo and well, Corvo needs more development. I could see him having the heart and having realised that it was of the Emperess from the first game. I do feel pity for the fool that starts the plot of 2. Corvo is a badass and can really ruin the day for them. It'll be interesting to see how Emily has aged in terms of maturity and personality. And if Corvo was turned into her advisor or just continued to guard her.

What I'm already interested in, is what potential DLC could bring(i.e a new character's perspective just like b4)

Hell, I just want another excuse to play as Daud.. or someone equally as badass and interesting

I feel that with two playable characters in the base game, they will remain the PC in DLC, but obviously I could be wrong. I did really enjoy playing as Daud, though, would be cool to get the chance to play a similarly cool and different character.

Also, I really feel as if Corvo doesn't really need more "fleshing out". As I've said previously there's actually quite a lot of information on him that can be inferred from the game, it's just very cunningly hidden so as to both give him solid characterization and grant the player the option of a "blank slate" silent protag. I don't know if it's a perfect or even good system, but I sure like Corvo a lot.

Blimey, Corvo has massive hands! Or it's just the runes are bigger either way. tis quite the difference between the two PCs. Liking the minor details on Emily's hands. The rings, the sleeve and the smaller details in the hands.

About 0:50 in the trailer...

Spoiler:
So, uh, how did Delilah un-trapped-in-a-painting herself?

My guess?
Spoiler:
She found a crack in the fabric of time and space and stuck her roots through it. There was a fancy looking tree for a second in the trailer, I cant help but think she's still tied to that big old tree in the Void somehow and that tree may be part of the whole shenanigan.

we have to fight delilah again and her sisters too... it makes sense though that she isn't less of a threat by being in a tree because the brigmore witches powers are mastery of the plants. in the dunwall prison one of the captured witches exploded into a tree and spread the roots everywhere.

I bet the Outsider freed her. He seems like the type to do it just to see what would happen. That said, i've not played the DLC so i have little to no idea what i'm on about.

But Deliah being in the spotlight or a decoy is interesting. Emily seems to be a beloved empress so it'll be interesting to see what causes Emily to become ousted or her title stolen. Corvo being Corvo will naturally tear out the heart of the person that did it and probably start wondering if he is getting too old for this [&@%!]. Whilst throwing the big bad off a bridge. On fire.

It's safe to assume that whatever got Emily out of the good graces of her people was caused directly by Delilah, not much question there.
