So now I'm officially caught up with the Dub at Act 6(Act 3).. And prior to my beng/rewatch I never did experience any of Act 6, which was totally awesome by the way

Which sort of sucks too.. Bc they've yet to dub Openbound or the rest of Act 6, with little to no news of progress from CoLabHQ and I had really high hopes during my break from Act 5 they would of progressed more

Why..

I still maintain that the best way to experience the comic is to actually read it.

Funny story, I applied at ColabHQ for voicing Caliborn. They didn't take me.

@Union: But what about those where it's a needless inconvenience to personally read? I get some of what your saying.. but it's not a transition in media like a book ~ movie. It's literally just a dub.. with some damn good voice acting and a varied cast(to complement the obviously varied characters). Let's Read Homestuck is not only the most convenient way for me to experience, but it very well was my best option without my laptop

@Mars: Not to sound mean.. but I'm sort of glad they didn't accept you >__< I wouldn't want ya to be the voice for that lil green creep of a [&@%!]. You just gotta love/hate him(not that sort of love/hate!), and the voice just comes with the territory I guess you can take that as a dual meaning.. that Mars should be awesome and nothing less, and that the voice actor portrayed is awesome at being so [&@%!] hate-able for such a well hated character(seriously, great job)

Btw.. I haven't seen past Act 6(3).. so I can only assume he's only grown more infuriating.. pls tell me he doesn:t pester Dirk for more 'shivers' images. That was.. very uncomfortable >__<

Well I like to think my voice was pretty good. I'm kinda glad they didn't take me as well though, because it was hell on my throat.

True true ^_^ after all, if we took anything at face value in Homestuck(or elsewhere).. Karkat would just be an insufferable prick(he has the feels), Hussie as just the web author(break ALL the 4th walls!) Gamzee as the innocent fool(never forget), Vriska as an utter 100% [&@%!](instead of 'mostly' a [&@%!]), Roxy as a stupid drunk('wonk') and Lil Cal sprite as the stuff of nightmares.. well.. that last bit still holds true >_> sprite or not

But to be a bit serious for once. Why did you want to be casted as Caliborn?

This is why I think reading the comic yourself is the best way to experience it. Part of reading a work if assigning your mind's own voices unto the characters, and I think that's an important part of forming impressons of characters in a written / voiceless visual work.

I'm not condeming watching it, I just feel like you lose something when you watch it with predetermined voices.
