Who else plays this game? I absolutely love it. Been playing it non stop for the last 2 weeks now.

After doing PvP on my old character, I decided to put my summon sign down in front of the Belfy Gargoyles fog gate. Helping people kill them, then hearing the bell ring a few moments later is so satisfying.

It's probably one of my favorites.

I love how they pulled off multiplayer and online and everything. It's really cool how they did it.

I bought it this summer sale, but haven't installed it yet. I'm excited to see what all the hype is about!

Matt:

Online works in a few different ways. For coop, you can place a sign on the ground near a boss fight. Another player can summon you to his world and you kill the boss together. You can also see people's signs, and summon them to your world.

As for PvP, you can use a certain item which lets you jump into someone's world and kill them. People can also leave messages on the ground that you can read for assistance and stuff.

Yes, some people helped me out and linked me the DSFix, great improvement. I'm liking the game so far. It's very gritty and dark and I like that. It's difficult but not in an unfair way, so it's not frustrating.

It made me unable to sleep at night. :(

My hyperactive mind coupled with this game was not a good mix.

I loved Dark Souls despite the fact that it often kicked my arse, i was lagstabbed by an invader or generally lost a lot of souls after a lot of hard work. Although i did come close to refusing to play the game due to Bed of Chaos being a.... I just hate that boss. Smough and ornstien were easier then Bed Of Chaos for the wrong reasons.

I find the Black Knight Greataxe to be a great PVP weapon, as long as you don't do the power swing thingy!

I favoured the Zweihander. Barely anything withstood it after i had upgraded it due to it being an ultra greatsword and they can floor an enemy to the ground. Taurus Demons were no match for me with that sword.

Ornstein and Smough were the hardest bosses in the game IMO.

My current weapon is a claymore+5, which I'm using until I can get my Black Knight Halberd again. I absolutely love it.

Anyone else find the last boss fight to be disappointingly easy? I literally parried him for the whole fight :S

I didn't find it a disappointment as it represents how far Gywn has fallen. He has used his own power to keep the fire going at the cost of weakening himself and let's face it, if we faced him at his full power, the game would be unbeatable as he would kill us the second we got through the gate or instantly kill us due to him. I think Fromsoftware likes to have weak final bosses to show that the main threat has fallen from grace and does not pose that much of a threat to you. That said, i suspect they may change their mind with Dark Souls 2 and give us a very hard final boss.

Yeah, Bigge and smalsl were the toughest for me too.

I've just started a new playthrough on Dark Souls and am using the deprived class. Aiming for a pure melee build and deprived is proving to be challenging so far. I also, got my arse kicked in undead burg. and Taurus killed me.

Just beat the Taurus Demon.

I almost make a fatal mistake of going into Harvel's part of the tower in the undead burg. I have the master key so i was able to unlock it. Thank god i've already completed it otherwise i would have made a terrible mistake.

I had got this game a couple of months ago when it was on sale for ten dollars on Xbox. I had past it in eight days with the thief's starting equipment. I had the Bandit's knife +15, the black leather set +5, and the bow of Pharis I think it's called? +14. The hardest boss fight for me has got to be ornstein and smough, I was stuck there for like three days until I decided to summon solair. But the hardest level for me has got to be tomb of the giants, all I had was a little target shield and divine Balder side sword that did little damage to thoughs skeleton dog things  The last boss was a joke, compared to the rest of the game. I just parried and riposte I think five times and killed him on my first try. :Twisted Evil: I haven't bought the dlc though, is it worth twenty dollars? I should've bought it when it was on sale too. :(

The only reason I would get the DLC is because there is a spell which turns you into a barrel.

But that's just me. The Oolacile Township is a major PvP spot though, and I hear the items in the DLC are good.

I managed to defeat Taurus. I got lucky and ended up with a battle axe. Usually, I have no trouble with him but i'm using the deprived class because I'm a sadistic sod. Defeated the Gargoyles by summoning Solaire and Lautrec. My battle axe is +3 or 4 and i'm fully aware of the Drake Sword. I'm avoiding it as it makes it a bit too easy. Now, I can't remeber how to access the lower part of Undead Burg but I do suspect I overlooked the key after killing the Gargoyles. :S Oh and i'm forced to play it off line. This is a pure melee build so i'm just dumping points into Strength, Dexerity, Endurance, Vitality and I think that is it. Hopefully, it will be a powerful build by the time I reach Arnor Londo. Also using Schimtar but may dump that for a [&@%!] Sword. Ain't even going to attempt the catacombs due to a lack of a divine weapon. Also, I seem to be getting a lot of humanity just by killing enemies. Oh and if anyone is near the Iron Golem, summon Tarkus if you want to see a boss get defeated very quickly as Tarkus is the strongest NPC in the entire game. Thank god he is not an invading one otherwise the game would be unbeatable.
