There is a timer that says "Please Stand By" and sits at 22 hours 40 minutes, and it's counting down. And, all the other BethSoft pages redirect to this timer (although if you're redirected a "continue to main site" button is on the corner of the screen).

A new Fallout game will be revealed tomorrow, it seems, and there's going to obviously be something big and Fallout 4 related at E3.

Who's excited? I am VERY VERY VERY excited, and I'm about to pop with anticipation! What are your thoughts, wishes, etc, and so on, and discuss!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It's happening!

I'm not excited at all..

They just feel like worse ES games to me. Not really a fan of the setting either. That being said I tend to keep my opinion to myself when it comes to those games, since it's a, pretty reasonably so, unpopular opinion. If I was a bigger fan of the whole theme I'd probably enjoy it a lot more.

And were that to be the case (although it strikes me as highly unlikely), how would a properly HD and remastered Fallout: New Vegas (3's story didn't interest me as much) be a bad thing, exactly?

To each his own. Fantasy and apocalyptic and arguably partly sci-fi type games with mutants, robots, and all this other [&@%!]. It's a bit of a different market, really, so you can like one, but not the other. Although I personally enjoy apocalyptic and sci-fi type games, so I find enjoyment in these.

Was sarcasm. Do you know how much flak from all the Fallout fanboys if they did a remaster? And I can't really have an opinion about it, apparently I played Fallout 3 and downloaded the dlc getting all the achievements and can't remember a single thing about it at all. Didn't really grasp my attention I guess.

I'm a huge Fallout fan, and obviously we've seen this coming for years. Still, it saddens me that TESVI is still far off in the distance.

First off I'd just like to say that there's already a dedicated thread for this in multimedia so this should be moved, but moving past this boring crap:

I'm glad to see some news at last. Really hoping to see the east coast again.

I'm a lot more interested in Fallout than TES, can't honestly call myself an ES fan anymore, so it's good for me to see that this is the next game on the horizon.

I definitely want an east coast game, but while I'd like to see the commonwealth makin' an appearance it shouldn't be the whole show here, so I'm hoping that if it's included they'll treat it like any other part of the game and not make it the super-integral core to all the universe just to please fans, or we might just end up with an ''Old World Blues Part-Deus'', which would be a shame cause that was easily one of the worse parts of NV's content for me.

Aside from that, I'm not very good at speculating about gameplay cause I don't know what I want till I get it, so ....yeah.

Never played any of the previous games. The trouble is that treading through a desolate wasteland in a mash-up of 1950's Americana and the military-industrial complex would simply have me re-living my childhood.

Count down is for midnight tonight AEST, that seems to make it all the more exciting from my end!

Shouldn't end up like that sorry disappointment, because it is actually on Beth's website, but I'm not going to let myself get hyped for Fallout 4 just to see a different Fallout announcement get made, either way. I would be willing to bet money that it will be an announcement of a new game in the main Fallout series though.

Too bad that likely means TES VI lies somewhere in the timeframe of 2018 to 2020.

Obviously, I've not lost all hope just based off of this, but what little we see here looked kinda like it was focusing on the wrong end of the stick, and it looks dangerously similar to Fallout 3 (not that I'm not a fan of 3, but I'm not a fan of rehashing it).

In the end though, it's still too early for me to judge. First impressions aren't good, but it's just the start, it's not the end of the world.

I was listening to a Podcast where Chris Avellone was talking about Van Buren and there was a plot they were going to have but the game got cancelled. If Bethesda want to take stuff that was planned but never done they could include it. I'm not saying they should or will but I loved the idea.

In Van Buren the player character was a Typhoid Mary infected with New Plague who spreads it but doesn't suffer from it. So as you explore the world you infect more and more people with this virus that devestated the population in the decades before the war, New Plague was actually used as the basis for FEV. Would be interesting in a Bethesda game where all that exploration you are doing is actually inadvertently dooming more and more people. Then a major crux of the game would be curing New Plague.

Ahhhh puns..

I don't really have a draw to Fallout, and I agree that it looks very familiar to Fallout 3. I still might try it out to waste time until ES:VI but I doubt I'll be drawn in. It looks great and I love that it's in Boston, but there isn't much to tell in difference from 3. Hopefully more at E3 will turn the tide away from that.

It's never a good sign when you don't have anything cool to show in your first trailer. This is what's supposed to grab ya, so if they're hiding something they should have already revealed a tidbit at least.

I mean come on, they've had 7 years, the least they could do was release a decent trailer.

okay okay, 4 years, fair enough. I was assuming they were completely different teams, my bad.

I'm more curious than anything about the main protagonist. I mean, what's his back story? How did he survive? What's with the house? Did he own it? And his human ally, who's that? Does he understand me or is it a Courage thing going on? How am I supposed to protect myself if I don't have thumbs?

Harf Harf, I can see that being the recurring joke for the next trailers. :P

But I wouldn't worry too much, if Fallout 3's Broken Steel taught us anything, it's that protagonist's dogs (or protagonist dogs) are indestructible, so he's probably been around since before the war.

For more serious stuff though, I'm not very excited about how one particular vault is being played up as a major thing in the first trailer. I mean, I have nothing against bein' a vault dweller, but I'm hoping they're just misleading us and they'll reveal we're actually gonna play a wastelander.

Though I'm still getting ahead of myself, whatever, I'm still pretty pumped because of this stuff, so forgive me for firing off so many stupid accusations and speculations.

Tell that to Dogmeat from Fallout 1.

Ian died too but screw Ian, he shot me in the back one too many times. But killing Dogmeat? Those Super Mutants have to pay.

East coast dawgs, they're for life and beyond.

Yeah about the first dogmeat, i recall just leaving him out of mariposa cause he was too stupid to avoid those force fields.

And when we had to fit everyone in the lift, Jesus... Like a bunch of headless chickens...
