I think it take place after events of the first game but before the vision at the end of the first game. Cause in those vision at the end they show Emily is a much older person but in the DH2 trailer she is still young.

Oh also do you think she'll be silent like corvo or she will talk?

I think she'll be voiced since she already had a voice in the first game, don't know about Corvo though.

Yeah, I thought either Emily or Bille would be the most likely protagonist of a sequel. That or a completely new character. The only recurring character they needed really was The Outsider.

Looking forward to this. I thought the Daud DLC made a lot of improvements upon Dishonored (I like Daud more than Corvo, they made non-lethal play a lot better) so hopefully this will improve things too.

Looks like it'll take place in Serkonos, doesn't it?

Yes, the capital, Karnaca. Incidentally also where Corvo was born.

Daud is from Serkonos too. Wonder if we'll meet grumpy old retired Daud back in his native land after Corvo spared him.

"Hi Emily. On the one hand I killed your mother. On the other hand I have the mark of the outsider I saved your life. So we're even right?"

That's the dream, and according to Harvey Smith Daud should be alive in the canon.

It caught me off guard with Emily being the protagonist.. granted I had hopes for a fully new charecter plus an active rival to whom carries the mark too(without being an antagonist much like Daud was). Not a big fan of the outfit tho

I am interested to see the powers and if they modify the format(like adding a tier 3). Im iffy with the loss of Blink, partly due to the design and color.. would of been better with a shadowy arm.. I do wonder tho if it is more than transport and can be used to pull ppl near. None the less, I am hyped up

Sounds like we'll maybe have branching upgrade paths?
And I do believe they said during one of the shows that she can pull people close with it.

Will you guys pick Corvo or Emily on your first playthrough...

I wonder why his mask fell into the water? maybe he's sailing in the sea and the ship got attacked by a vengeful whale.

Definitely playing as Corvo first. Emily looks cool, but I'd rather play with a more familiar face.

I'm undecided on who to pick because on one hand CORVO but on the other Emily has entirely new powers.

I love the original and hopefully, they will expand on what we already have. I am surprised that Emily is one of the two main characters and am curious to see how she became that way. I do hope that corvo is fleshed out into a character instead of silent bob wears a mask and kills people.

well i think corvo is a character with a background... i dare to say maybe he is a little bit more background than most of the other characters. But at the same time maybe part of his demeanor is created by us the players.

well we know that he is probably emily's real daddy. and he loves her a lot
i think he is the first non-dunwall citizen to become a lord protector
i think he also knew jezzamine's dad too and was chosen at a young age
we know he probably slept with the empress even though he shouldn't
apparently he's the only one suited to travel to other provinces to ask for aid
he is from serkonos and is one of the best swordsman in the land
he is extrememly disciplined mentally and physically because he resisted months (or was it weeks) of torture and refused to sign a confession
he is only the 6th (or was it 8th?) person to be marked by the outsider
that's all i can remember now

i think he is the characters in the first game that we know the most about actually. actuallly most of dishonored characters aren't all that developed i think. i wish we could point the empress heart at corvo to read his mind but that's probably not what the devs want.

The developers confirm that Corvo is Emily's father during the showcase during the interview.

Aaah there are 8 living bearers of the mark at the time of the first game, but there has most likely been others who have received it in the past.

I'd be curious to meet any other, new marked ones as well. I wonder if bearers of the mark have a tendency to cross paths or if it was a coincidence that we ran into so many of them in the first game

Actually when he mentions HIS mark, its the total up to that point not the total in present. Also keep in mind there has been different Outsiders over time, spanning long eras with or without one.. The one we meet is thousands years old he wasnt the first to represent the void nor will be the last.. and aside from appearance his defining piece is his dislike for those abusing power(like the regent) thus hes not always nuetral. My point being is past versions could of had different sets of users, far more than history could tell us. Rat boy for one didnt even have his mark for over a day.. Granny on the other hand over a hundred years

As per the first game.. so many were rewarded or crossed paths likely due to the unseen importance these events must have. The outsider cared less if each of them fought another.. tho Daud has bored him given his predictability.. and he has tipped off about Delliah that ended up with her demise

Wait, when is that exactly? Because that sounds like the sort of thing that needs to go on the wiki in that case.

Aside from the theory of different Outsiders having different chosen individuals to be marked, or the number of marks(By the time of the original he hints at 8, but is unclear if all still live) but other than that its all in the wiki.

We actively know of 8 since the reveal, Emily being the newest addition where previously she wasnt. More so a coincident for obvious reasons, D2 will add more to list of known marked( note the list of recipients, it is not a list of the 8 he mentions).

Also while Granny prolonged her life, the oldest recipient prior as mentioned in a book may be deceased(plus its uncertain if the mother was marked too). under his 4000 active role, whos to say there werent more, maybe the 8 was a present claim, though rat boy was too short lived. We do know witches have been accounted in this span, and some marks can share thier power.. its all very confusing

I imagine I'll play Emily instead of Corvo. Corvo better not have cut his hair. Although if you get to pick mission to mission instead of at the start of the game I might change it up.

I was almost certain The Outsider meant that there are only 8 people currently alive in the world who bare his mark. Not only 8 people ever. So Daud, Deliah, Granny Rags, Rat Kid and maybe Corvo (he didn't get his Mark until a while after Jasmine's assassination.)

I hope Possession is better this time round assuming they still have it as a power. I don't expect to be pulling off cool parkour skills but I'd like to be able to do more than just walk around.

They confirmed that you do not get to change per mission. I was also certain that The Outsider was referring to living people with the mark.
