I have to agree with that. My opinion is, UESP is more or less far from calm waters, problems are expected. I'm not a tech expert, purely a layman, and I don't write this to scare you or anything. But, you may need some patience now and then, simply because it doesn't all work like it is meant to. We will overcome, no doubt about it. :)

Well there are 2 types of hack, the ones where they get access to the files on a server and upload their own, in which case, skyrim would have been floating around in pirate circles by now and beths servers would be hosting several viruses. And then there is database hacks, very common and usually work by exploiting bugs in software. They basically edit the database and insert their own information in to it, like adding them selves as a site admin.

If you google IPB database hacks you may find information on how they are doing it and whether a fix has been released or not. IPB is the forum software beth use.

I would not take Gstaff at their word about the planned update, in my experience Gstaff say what ever they have to say to protect Beths interests, so it is not always the truth and they do not always care who knows it is not the truth.
