I have windows 7 64 bit
the newest version of Dos Box and Dos Shell (loonies)
I have it set up just how the Battle spire guide tells me how to on UESP...
but it played at first but i clicked Equipment and the game shut itself off.
now it either says illegal command or says cannot install or detect VBA 2.0

can you please help?

EDIT: I went into the config file and set bypass to 1.
got an error about code 0. (fixed by puting wave file and video folder in the games files and changing the cd path to C:\Batspire\videos) (tho the game still trys to read off the disk...)
I reinstalled the game and it played immediately after the install and let me play it.
I exit and restart the game and it says it says illegal command: game
how do i fix that?

I fixed it by mounting the disk drive and the c drive
and typing
cd\batspire
Spire

but im having trouble because the game stays in the 640x800 resolution even if I put the game into full screen mode...
i have it set to 1024x768 and it doesnt help...

I tryed setting the output to ddraw and it worked but lighting was messed up and the game ran slow at times... but the resolution was bigger, but it caused issues so direct draw wouldnt work for output...

apparently my laptop doesnt support that resolution with fullscreen without a scaler...
any Ideas??
