Alot of videos I have seen on youtube suggest certain quest lines for the build aswell as quest lines you should avoid for example (Thieves guild) and I'm wondering if this is just for role playing purposes or do I actually need to avoid evil and certain quest lines for some reason I play on ps4 and I'm working on a platinum for the game and I need daedric artifacts so that pretty much cancels out being a good guy but I absolutely love the paladin build. I have asked this question on here befour but never really got an answere if anyone could clear this up for me I would very much appreciate it.

it depends on what you want to do, if for main quest line of base game then only access to winterhold college is partialy needed, to get location of sigmus septimus location, but you probably can just look up in uesp main site where it is if you have not been there anytime before on this/previous character.
for build then everything is just roleplay, more or less, only thing that must or must not be done only really depends on your role you want to play and personal goals you intend on reaching. the only deadric quest you need to (partially) do is hermeus mora and only till you get access to blackreach (if you want to finish main quest line in base game, and in dragonborn dlc you kind of need to deal with hermeus mora anyway).
all non main questlines are optional if you want do just main quest lines and if not then everything is optional
