Is anyone still playing this game? I got a late start. Having way too much fun with all the followers. Most of my friends do not like to play with followers, but I love it!! I am available for hints on how.
As a level 53, I have spent loads of time. I really enjoy sniping on horseback and having followers+ keeping them alive too. :sweetroll:

I believe the majority of users are still playing Skyrim.

Am I seriously the only person playing Skyrim 6? My Akaviri shaman is wrecking house!
Yes, I'm still playing Skyrim. And no, I have never reached level 50.

Um, not exactly. Most I've talked to say that they don't really play it that much anymore or at all.

Unless you did a site poll I am unaware of, I stand by my previous claim. The majority of the activity on the site is Skyrim related. Therefore, the majority of the users on the site are playing Skyrim. Talking to a full long-term users who will have played the hell out of the game already, or reject future sequels altogether creates a biased result.

That's making a lot of assumptions. A lot of a lot of them.

Anyway, this thread can always be turned into a poll, if the OP is willing. Then we'll know for sure if they play still or not.

If I played games at this time of the year I would be playing Skyrim. Still have an archer elf that needs to defeat Alduin. :D

Because you didn't do the same thing. It really doesn't matter what a poll would say, the majority of the site activity as of now has been related to Skyrim. It's not hard to see which game is currently the most popular by just paying attention the site. Either way, which one statement is based on fewer assumptions?

"The people I talk to don't play Skyrim, therefore Skyrim is not popular."

"My observations of site activity over the last few years show that the majority of the activity is dedicated to Skyrim, therefore most users are playing Skyrim."

Look at which gamespace is being edited the most on the wiki currently, it's Skyrim. Look at game sub-forums. Skyrim's have the most recent posts over all and are the most active. In IRC, questions received are usually about Skyrim. My general experience, and available site records, show that as of now more users are likely to be playing Skyrim than any other ES game. Arguing otherwise requires you to just reject all site activity as somehow being biased against other games. I wouldn't think for a second many people are active in Redguard due to the general amount of users we see posting about it. In fact, it's fairly safe to assume that many people aren't playing Redguard on the site at any given moment. Assuming otherwise would be less accurate than the other alternative. So why would this not be true for Skyrim?

Unless you are trying to argue semantics about the meaning of "majority", as I naturally didn't count people not currently playing ES games in my considerations (I was comparing the number of people playing ES games, according to what game they would be playing. If you want to argue majority to its logical conclusion, then the majority of people would never be playing any game, ever), my statement is much more accurate to the state of affairs.

Lets stick to the topic and let people speak for themselves, rather than making assumptions either way, shall we?

I'd still be playing, if my Xbox didn't die.

Of course, I have gaps of a few months where I don't/wouldn't have played it, but I always end up replaying my old games.

So, technically no I'm not playing, but I would like to be.

I am taking an "extended leave" from Skyrim, but I know one day I'll get bored and get sucked back into Tamriel.

I am playing too! I only got Skyrim in May this year and havent played constantly, so im only level 37 with my first character.
I like a follower, but depends who. I dont go for melee ones as they tend to get killed more close range and they get in the way.

Last time i played Skyrim was a few months ago. Think it was a week before GTAV was released. I usually sink 40ish hours in before i get bored of the character.

I'm still playing. Regularly. Played a little last night, but I was rather deep in my cups so I didn't do too much. I get paranoid that I'll do something stupid.....like the night I came home late after having been at the pub and woke up the next morning to find that I married Ysolda. That was weird.

I'm an Orc barbarian with a mage follower. We're working on the DB quest line at the moment. I even took a day off last week and did nothing but play. I take time off from the game, but I always come back. Yes, precious. We always comes back.

I play all the time. New Vegas and Skyrim are the only video games that currently get my attention. I don't have much time to play daily like I wish I could...so I play 2-3 times a week for an hr. I think the key to boredom in this game is role play. I take my time to do things and let the characters run the mill. I've had to restart my assassin numerous times because of bugs, but besides that I still have my original characters. I'll be playing Skyrim forever I think.

Wow, sounds like I really am NOT alone in Skyrim or the Ashspawn place. Well I can give serious advice on the followers, because I have focused on that. Yes I have lost quite a few horses...but I still like to ride and storm the castle. The beginning of my search for a mate led me to try out as many followers as I could afford. I do like that it is not limited to sexual preference, all inclusive. Anyway, my main thing is hey, will this person be able to fight well, care for kids, and not annoy me with their banter. I decided on Vorstag. I kinda have a thing for Arnold and he reminds me, also he is sweet as a husband.
If your followers are getting killed, you need some advice I am here.

Based on the posts I read on this forum and the help forum, it seems that quite a few registered members are currently playing Skyrim, with new ones added all the time, and we probably represent a tiny fraction of all active players.

I got a bit of a late start, too, but have been playing usually a few times a week since summer 2012 and am not even close to being done with it. There is still a lot I haven't done and places I haven't seen. My Breton stealth-mage character has taken up most of my Skyrim time, with 700+ hours at last check - and she hasn't even started the main quest! I play slowly, hence my login name. I have one other current character that I created for a home-made questline, and ideas for a few other characters I want to create for specific questlines and thaneships and so on. I had never been what you would call an avid gamer, but Skyrim has drawn me into it like no other game.

Snail's Pace, since there are so many variations and possible characters I doubt anyone can really "finish" the game. And if you do the main quest it does not end anything really. I am afraid of the new version, I may be even more immersed. I have played only one game online with others and that was Journey or I forgot I did play a bit of this one with a rag doll??. Elder Scrolls will probably have many meanies and shenanigans, but my middle name is revenge, so bring it meanies.

I got a late start myself. I built a nice new gaming PC back in January and picked up Skyrim a month or two after that. I played non stop for several months. The last month or so I have slowed down a lot. Been spending time playing Star Trek Online again. Plus I just picked up Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and the whole FEAR collection really cheap from Steams Halloween sale. Might pick up a few more games while they are on sale. So it will probably be a while before I get back into Skyrim. I really needed a change of pace, I was getting the Been there Done that feeling with Skyrim.

I've been playing Skyrim almost every day since the day it came out, and don't see that stopping anytime soon. I did have like a month break, when my disc broke, but it was replaced as soon as I was able too.

^Same here. I don't usually play a lot of games, but once every couple of years there's one that gets me hooked, and right now that's still Skyrim. Everytime I think I'm done with it I get an idea for another character, a different playstyle, different things to do or a way to do the same things differently. Just recently started a new character for the, um, like tenth time or so and working my way up the food chain, it's still as much fun as ever.

As much as I'd like to be playing Skyrim right now, I can't. Not until I rebuild my mod and find out what the hell was causing Dawnguard to break my saves.
In other words, I do still play Skyrim... Just not right now because Dawnguard is being an [&@%!]. Hmph.
