So I know that music doesn’t really come until later in the production of a game, but I noticed that Jeremy Soule wasn’t asked by BGS to compose. And the trailer had music. I absolutely love Jeremy Soule and would be mad if they replaced him. Somebody give me hope...

They brought back Jeremy Soule for basically all of their major projects. As for TESVI, I wouldn't think about that trailer too much. It's an announcement that it exists, not an announcement of basically anything else. Most people think that we're going to be waiting until 2022 still, so they have time to get Soule back.

I made a couple of research and it seems like he won't be involved in this project.

Considering that they'll be pulling him out of a retirement home by the time they finally get him to work with this game, I wouldn't hold my breath.

A shame, really. I really loved his work with Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. The first two had this lovely Respighi-like tone to their music, a bit mystical, a little melancholy and very relaxing. Skyrim's music, on the other hand, was rather more Wagnerian or reminiscent of Grieg in its style. That is, it had a bit more "oomph" (especially the dragon fight music) and bombast to it, but never too much. In a word, Soule is a wonderful game composer who knows how to set the atmosphere. One can only hope they get someone half as good for TES VI.

I was sort of not-watching TV one night-- I had it turned on and tuned to one of the local PBS stations, but I wasn't really watching it because I was doing something on my laptop at the time-- and there was some sort of "Celtic Woman" musical special on. Suddenly the music sounded very familiar, because they were playing the theme from Morrowind!
