so i've made the classic mistake of placing my inventory in a reset container
should have used this:

As long as the container you store the items in does not have this flag "Respawn:Yes" then you will not lose them.
Open console and click on it and see if it has that flag.
If the flag is "Respawn:No" then everything in there will never be lost.
The chest near the bedroom of the house in Whiterun does not have "Respawn:Yes" so you can store items for ever in there if you want.

so now i have to ask (i've searched, didn't find a solution) is there a way to export items from a saved game and import it into the current game
