I have to say, it is a bit tiring that Bethesda never seems to be able to release a game with only minor glitches. In a sense, if the games they release weren't as good as they are, nobody would buy them. Think about it, what if you walked through a door and fell through the floor in any other game you can think of. Think if this wasn't just a one time occurance, what if it was common place, people would demand a better glitchless game out of them.

Anyway with that said the actual point I'd like to make is that because of one of Bethesda's stupid glitches, I cannot get all of the words of power for all of my shouts. That's what I wanted to do, but when I go to Arngeir he inevitably at some point tells me to go to arcwind point. When I get there and collect the word of power, the game does not remove the misc. journal entry that makes it possible to get another word of power. You PC gamers are lucky. You get a bug like this and you can fix it with a simple code. Us console users aren't so lucky. There's probably nothing that can be done, but if somebody thinks of something I am open to suggestions.

You don't have to do those quests to get the shouts, you know. You can just go to the places that have them.

AKB is quite correct. If it's just the quest that is bugged, you can just leave it there and go exploring for word walls on your own (or use the wiki page to find locations if you're not up to clearing dungeons without a wall at the end). There is always shouting in a town to get the letter from a friend too, if you like pointer quests.

Unfortunately the misc quest may well be there forever.

Another solution, if you'd like collect shouts mostly via Arngeir's quests, would be to go and get Arcwind Point's shout word beforehand, and only then asking Arngeir about the word walls. I don't know, however, if there are other bugged quests since I never got that glitch you mentioned.

Actually, I had thought of that once myself. It didn't work. It just puts a marker at Arcwind Point anyway.

Go to the other word wall near Arcwind by Froki's Shack and absorb if you haven't already. Bear in mind this only works ONCE. If he sends you there again, it's unfixable on a console. I have a 360 and this has happened to me as well.
