The ESO Photographer's Guild

Mon Mar 03, 2014 10:33 pm

Now that the NDA is lifted and the game's coming soon, might as well have a place to share screenshots!

Screenshots can be mapped to a key in ESO. When this key is pressed, it will save a screenshot in Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/screenshots. You can share them by uploading them to a site such as Photobucket, and then copying the [img] code.

Please put them in [hide] tags or just link to them in this thread, rather than just having them open in the post; it keeps the page from stretching (on mobile, too) and therefore easier to view.

Have fun! :)

Ok, here's some screenies from the last Beta session. I am really enjoying this game despite all the bad publicity. I am quite partial to environment shots.

If the images are showing quite large, please let me know and I will re-size them. I have a large monitor.

If anyone happens to have some good shots of the daedric writing on the walls in Coldharbour I'd love to have a look at it. I forgot to take my own pictures when I was there..

I don't have any Daedric writing on the walls, but I have some Daedric writing on the floor:

And here's a certain Daedric Prince:

That's pretty terrible, Molag Bal should fire his interior decorators. Image

Okay, I got a couple of better shots of the Daedric writing on the floor:

This one lets you see the writing around the edges - I can make out BAL. MOLAG, but not any of the other words:

This one is a better shot of the glowing writing. I think there's something weird about it - is part of it upside down?

Here's some Daedric writing on the wall. It was hard to get a good shot because of the smoke effects and lamp light:

Here's a doomstone/birthstone (whatever they are going to call them in this game):

The following pictures contain SPOILERS for the Main Quest which is why I've put them in a separate post.

Spoiler:
Is that... an Elder Scroll?

Why doesn't this sound like a good idea?

WTF are you doing with the Amulet of Kings?!

For the heck of it, I took a crack at translating the glowing daedric writing - to me it looks like the letters are backwards. I can make out "Molag Bal Coldharbour" and the rest looks like misspellings of the same.

I also tried translating the daedric anchor, if I'm reading it right, it says "Coldharbour calls Nirn obeys"

Shucks, translating the floor was the first thing I did. Could've saved you folks some time. Oh, and the funniest book in the game is Mottoes of the Great Houses.

Except they wrote it as "Coldharbor," which just makes it that much worse. :|

I wonder if there's a way to use that on the wiki...

Well, I don't think we can make it a Featured Image, but I think I did the next best thing.

The blog could become a great way to promote images like this. Keep 'em coming!

Edit- AddictedtoMorrowind, do you happen to know who made that screenshot? I just want to cover all my bases in giving credit where credit's due.

These pictures aren't amazing because I didn't turn off the UI before taking them, so there's a chat box and information about what quest I was doing and things like that in the way. Also, I don't have the best graphics card in the world. But I'm sharing them in the hope that someone with good graphics will go to the locations and take awesome photos of the areas ;D .

I love the location of this Skyshard, and how its blue light contrasts with the orange of the lava:

Image

This Skyshard's in the middle of a forest, and its light contrasts with the green of the trees in summer:
Hidden:

Same forest from a different angle. I love how the trees look different and unique.
Hidden:
Image

An unbelievable location. A Dwemer ruin... with a grove growing inside it? Where are these plants getting enough light from?
Hidden:
Image

Very Daedric. In Coldharbour during the level 20 Main Quest. Just before the part which kills you over and over :)
Hidden:
Image

The Orrery of Elden Root. Complete with NPC dialogue. Shouldn't be any spoilers here though.

This is still my favorite of my screenshots, despite being taken two months ago:

I also like this one (took it just before the game loaded all the other players and NPCs, that's why its so empty)
