So, today's planned maintenance was in order to fix a major exploit that had been discovered.

According to the patch notes, they have "Changed the functionality of auto-stacking in guild banks. You will now have to stack items in your inventory before placing them in the guild bank."

And I'm now sitting here going "WHAT?!", given that I was getting really sick of having to "clean up" my Guild's bank because Corundum deposited by a Daggerfall Covenant character was somehow "different" to Corundum deposited by an Ebonheart Pact character. The patch notes make it sound like this is going to be even worse than it was before!

I'm hoping I'm misreading.

Right - as an update to my last post, it seems that now nothing stacks in Guild Banks at all.

If you want to put items into a Guild Bank, to avoid filling the bank with multiple stacks of the same item, what you have to do is:

1) Go to the Withdraw screen and remove all of the other items of the same type which are stacked there. Ignore stacks which already have 100 items in because you can't add to those.

2) Then in the Deposit screen, combine the stacks by dragging them onto each other, until you have only one stack for each item.

3) Then deposit that stack.

This is only necessary for Guild Banks. Your own personal bank will still work as normal.
