Just a long-held curiosity - is there an inherent smokiness? Is it a bitter scent? Is the aroma sweeter when it's faint?

Thoughts?

They smell a bit like Auriel's Bow, so there's that.

I imagine ash yams smell earthy like sweet potatoes, and depending on the soil it may carry over some of that same smell. Even in ash, I dont imagine it'll have that smokey aroma we want, but more of that acrid bitter
