I’ve tried getting into oblivion for a long time and everytime i make a new character its really weak, and from what I have seen It’s pretty much impossible to be op since the leveling system makes you weak af. The only way It seems possible to be powerful is if i like lower the difficulty alot but i dont wanna be unkillable. Anyone know how to build like a normal character and not be weak as heck?

You have to build power to have power. It requires fighting to build points in your fighting skill and collecting loot from fighting to have enough money to buy skill points from trainers. Work to add between five and ten points to your specialty major fighting skill each level and you will slowly notice that you are getting more powerful. You also need to use the right weapons and upgrade them as you level up. For blade skill, daggers are weak, long swords are best. Do not fight as a hybrid early in the game, stick to your specialty.

Your starting endurance from race + birthsign determines how hard you are to kill. Go to the uesp pages on race and birthsign to see what combinations are best. Generally, that is going to be Warrior birthsign.

You do not have to level up to the second tier enemies at level 5 to complete any of the major quests. There is where you will be most OP from skill and available hero weapons.

Just lower the difficulty to whatever feels best for you. You shouldn't be worrying about min/maxing or playing on a high difficulty for your first playthrough.

Hi slimer90. I made a guide called Efficient Leveling made easy. Works on consoles and works even if you only have the base game. It's a fun way to play. I'm taking a risk here cuz when legoless and Chicken Slayer look at my video, they will make fun of me and my video's poor quality.
