Imperial City Display Tamriel Map Display Item Map
The capital city of Cyrodiil Province and all of Tamriel, home to the Emperor's palace. Refayj made the famous declaration There is but one city in the Imperial Province, but one city in Tamriel, but one city in the World; that, my brothers, is the city of the Cyrodiils. The Imperial City rests on a series of islands in the lake at the center of the Nibenay Valley, approximately in the middle of the Imperial Province. It is often difficult to discern city from the palace as it all rises from the islands towards the sky in a stretch of gold. Entire neighbourhoods can rest on the massive bridges that link islands together. Gondolas and riverships provide transport for both people and goods in the flooded lower sections. House guards wield exceptionally long dai-katanas crossed and adorned with ribbons and dragon flags. The river is tainted red from the tinmi soil. The Imperial Palace is the crown of the city and is surround by magical hedgery gardens. Here the heads of past emperors are grown and shaped by socrery and can speak and move by summoning birds.

Isle of Balfiera Display Tamriel Map Display Item Map
This island in the Iliac Bay has long been used as a neutral meeting point for diplopmatic negotiations and treaties by the Kingdoms of High Rock. It is also known for the circular and ancient Direnni Tower. Traditionally the ruler of the island has been the Castellan of Balfiera, most likely referring to their role of commander of the Tower which has been used as a fortress, prison, and palace by the Direnni Hegemony. The Castellans are also High Elves, the only Mer ruling family remaining in the human lands. The Castellans continue to live in the Tower although its true purpose has remained a mystery. The latest magical divination of its age places its construction around ME2500, making it the oldest known structure in Tamriel. The tower has been modified several times over the years, but the clyindrical core of metal has not been touched and is rumoured to extend as far into the ground as it does protude above it.
