Latest NewsElder Scrolls in 2010? — October 30th, 2008According to gameindustry.biz, a Bethesda publishing executive, Paul Oughton stated that we may be seeing the next Elder Scrolls title around 2010. He didn't say anything about what we can expect from the game, or whether or not it might be an MMO from ZeniMax Online Studios or a single player game developed internally at Bethesda, but since he is quoted as a Bethesda Executive, the single player option seems more likely. Currently speculation on the next Elder Scrolls title points to it taking place in Skyrim. New Map for Morrowind — June 22, 2008UESP is pleased to announce its latest major addition - an interactive map for Vvardenfell that will be invaluable for all players of Morrowind and Bloodmoon. At the moment, all doors and landmarks are listed, and over the next few days we hope to add the hard-to-find quest targets such as NPCs in the middle of the wilderness. This is the third of UESP's interactive maps and joins the existing maps of Cyrodiil and the Shivering Isles. As with all pages on the site, this is a work in progress; any comments should be made here. Fan Fiction Competition — April 3rd, 2008Another Elder Scrolls Fansite, Chorrol.com, is holding a Fan Fiction Competition from today until the end of the month. Anyone can enter, and the prizes are actually quite good (Two Copies of Oblivion signed by Todd Howard, and a map of Shivering Isles signed by the developers). So for anyone interested in writing fan fiction, they should definitely look into this. More information about the competition can be found here. There will be three categories for entries: short (less than 2500 words), medium (2500 to 20000), and long (20000+). Ratwar, an administrator here on the UESP, will be helping to judge some of the entries. Good luck to anyone hoping to enter! UESP Reaches 10,000 Articles — January 1st, 2008Perfectly timed with the New Year, UESP hits the 10,000 legitimate article mark, according to the Statistics page. Special thanks to all editors who helped make it happen. Happy New Year, everyone, and let's keep 20,000 in our sights for the future.

Current Featured ArticleThe Elder Scrolls series' earlier installments (viz. Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire and Redguard) were developed for DOS and consequently do not run under modern Windows (nor non-Microsoft systems, for that matter). This page deals specifically with running these games in DOSBox, and is applicable to all of them. (more...) Did you know...
