Soooo I have these .gifs I made...[edit]

Of each race/gender's different face customization. All scaled equally and high-quality. Is this appropriate for the page? Or would it create too much bandwidth... Perhaps If I put the base picture, then underneath say: (click for a .gif of all different customizations) or something like that. I have done the High Elf section to how I would like to plan it. Though In all honestly I could've done a better job with the .gifs. Put the High Elf down to try it out for the page.

Ye veteran UESP-ers, let me know! I'll think of something that works eventually, but would love some input on this. --° ° Yal ° ° 11:01, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

I doubt bandwidth would be an issue, especially given the very low traffic on Arena pages. There were a few issues you should address - some of the shots are not quite lined up, and at least one had your cursor showing, so you should be careful about that sort of thing. Also, since the head is all that changes, you might simply crop it to a head-shot to save on filesize. (These are somewhat large - for comparison, a typical full-color high-res Skyrim screenshot is around the same size, and that's saying a lot since these are 8-bit gifs.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:29, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the input. Yeah I am not very proud of how those .gifs turned out. I plan to redo them to look a little more professional. I agree they are a bit large, and cropping their heads would take the worries out of which clothing to include. I think I could try some head-shots only. But on the contrary, I really like how the current size fits with the page, especially since it will leave room and make a nice fit if any extra information is added. Thanks again for the input, I will get to work on cleaning the .gifs up, and making the rest. ° ° Yal ° ° 08:36, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Can anyone verify the Redguard & Wood Elf bugs listed on their race descriptions?[edit]

Hi everyone, I saw that in July 2017 a user made these changes:

"Due to the bug, Wood Elves receive their (level / 3) as a bonus damage with melee weapons (unlike what the manual says). Wood Elves have a hit bonus which depends on their level."

"Redguards receive their (level / 3) as a bonus to damage with bows (unlike what is state in the manual). Redguards have a hit bonus which depends on their level."

So I made a Wood Elf, got it to level 3, and didn't see any new bonuses to hit or damage listed on my character sheet. However, I also don't have any hit/damage bonuses showing on my level 12 Redguard either.

Is there a bug or are the stat bonuses all invisible? And if they are invisible, how do we know the boosts for Wood Elf & Redguard are swapped? Darkness Squall (talk) 07:58, 8 September 2018 (UTC)

Well the changes have been reverted by someone, so I guess this doesn't matter anymore. Still would be interested in knowing how to verify the hit and damage bonuses of these races Darkness Squall (talk) 00:25, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

I can't be sure but I recall seeing a section of the page LONG ago that said the bonus' were bugged. I tested this and although the bonus' DO NOT show up on your character sheet I did seem to be killing enemies faster. I believe at the time I made an alteration to the page but it was so long I've forgotten. — Unsigned comment by RyanFialcowitz (talkcontribs) at 02:01 on 16 July 2020

I cheated the level of a woodelf to 99 (just the level without changeing XP) and tested it with a longsword: the woodelf has definitivly a bonus to melee of level/3. So there seem the be a bug with racial bonus. Edit: the bonus is invisible, but i killed gouls in 2 hits and most other things in stonekeep with 1 hit, no strength bonus. Class: Archer
