You are not on Earth! Why should the compass be the same as Earth's?

What the hell kind of answer is that?

Well, Tamriel is not Earth, therefore it doesn't have the same rules. Besides, East and West are arbitrary distinctions. Might as well ask why Tamriel has magicka, it's because it's not Earth. Th232 05:45, 1 March 2007 (EST)

[edit] Wilderness Travel

One of my biggest questions when first checking this game out was whether I could travel between cities using the wilderness. A developer interview (I think found on the same website this FAQ is from) suggested it was possible in raw theory, but was very unlikely in practice. I don't know if it's frequently asked, however, although I do think it's somewhat important. Is it worth adding?
