[edit] Detailed Walkthrough
[edit] FalcoSpeak to Falco Galenus or Carnius Magius about your next assignment. He'll tell you that they've uncovered some sort of burial chamber inside the mine with some kind of impenetrable ice. You are to find and speak to Graring to learn more about the chamber. [edit] GraringGraring can be found in the area far to the North, near Lake Fjalding, where the two main rivers join. Head Northeast from Raven Rock and follow the river North when you reach it. The directions are a bit confusing, but Graring's House can be found just South of where the two rivers join up. Graring is outside his house, though he may not wish to have any dealings with you. Similarily with his two companions. At this point Coventina Celata is supposed to attack Graring. If she fails to appear (it is a common bug), search for her East of Graring and kill her. [edit] Graring AgainOnce Conventina has been killed, speak to Graring again who will thank you for helping him and offer you knowledge of the Stalhrim, those strange ice-encased corpses you may have found in tombs all around the island. Graring explains that the Stalhrim can be forged like most metals. He then gives you an Ancient Nordic Pick Axe and tells you to try and chip some of the Raw Stalhrim off and bring it back to him. [edit] StalhrimFollow Graring's advice and return to the mine to find the Stalhrim. The mine is rather large at this point but it shouldn't take too long to find the newly discovered tomb area and the one Stalhrim within it. If you have the Ancient Nordic Pick Axe in your inventory, you will be able to harvest the Stalhrim. You can also harvest the Stalhrim in any of the other tombs you may have previously found them in (at least 26 occurences of it). Return with the Stalhrim to Graring and he will congratulate you and further offer to make you armor and weapons with the material (speak to his companions Aenar and Hidar for this). [edit] Return to FalcoWith the mystery solved, return to Falco with the information and receive a gold reward (1,000 gold). |
[edit] CarniusSpeak to Carnius Magius about your next assignment. He'll tell you that they've uncovered some sort of burial chamber inside the mine with some kind of impenetrable ice. He'll be more forthcoming and tell you that the Stalhrim is the real reason he is here and just tell you to kill Graring and his companions [edit] GraringGraring can be found in the area far to the North, near Lake Fjalding, where the two main rivers join. Head NorthEast from Raven Rock and follow the river North when you reach it. The directions are a bit confusing, but Graring's House can be found just South of where the two rivers join up. Just kill the three Nords and grab the Ancient Nordic Pick Axe. [edit] Harvest the IceReturn to Carnius with the ice pick and he'll tell you to retrieve one piece of the ice from the Raven Rock mine. If you're carrying the pick axe with you, you will be able to harvest the ice from the Stalhrim in the mine and in various places around the Island. [edit] Return to CarniusWith the mystery solved, return to Carnius with the information and receive a gold reward (3,000 gold). In addition, Carnius will mention that if you bring him more Stalhrim he will be able to craft weapons and armor for you. Carnius will require two Raw Stalhrim pieces for each item, while Graring and his companions would have only required one. |
[edit] Notes
- If you do this quest after you have built the second phase of your Redoran stronghold, you can speak to one of the miners about hire guards and skip both the 10th & 11th quest.
