My name is (name) You want work but aren't a member of the Mages Guild? I'm sure you can understand that we only provide quality work for our members. However, I do have a little errand that needs to be done. One of our books is missing. If you were to find and return it, I would conisder it a personal favor, one that would reflect well on you with the entire guild.

We have no clues at the moment. The name of the book is (book). You will have to snoop around and ask people if they have heard anything. Bring the book back to me if you find it.

[edit] Walkthrough

Once you get this quest, ask around about the book. You should get some advice to go to an informant in town. He will tell you to go to a store where a person might know where it is. He also includes that this person likes to take things that aren't theirs. Once you get in the store, there should be someone ready to hit you. Kill the thief, then take the book off their corpse (it's shaded in green). Bring it back for the reputation bonus.
