Cloud Ruler Temple was built by Reman Cyrodiil's Akaviri Dragonguard at the founding of the Second Empire.[1] Until the end of the Third Era, it served as the headquarters of the emperor's bodyguard: the Dragonguard and the Blades. It is one of the most dramatic remaining examples of Akaviri architecture, located high in the Jerall Mountains near Bruma. [2] Cloud Ruler Temple was destroyed during the Great War with the Thalmor in the Fourth Era. It was considered a prime target due to the Blades having led several sabotage missions in the Aldmeri Dominion, such as the Falinesti Incident.
