Elsweyr

Dune is a city in Anequina in northwestern Elsweyr, near the border with Valenwood. The Imperial Legion outpost Sphinxmoth Legion Fort is located nearby. During the Five Year War, a major battle took place outside the fort between the Bosmer of Valenwood and the Khajiit of Elsweyr. A soldier named Codus Callonus was stationed at the fort and was so impressed by the Khajiiti tactics during the battle that he recorded his impressions in a series of books. Only the first volume, Mixed Unit Tactics, remains. Dune was once home to a gladiatorial team known as the Blades, who share their name with the personal guards of the Septim Emperors.

Notes

• The city's gladiatorial team was originally to be featured in The Elder Scrolls: Arena, but the idea was scrapped in development. The name was then reused in later games, and became the current Blades.
