Gortwog gro-Nagorm is the Orc-lord of Orsinium and the chieftain of the Minat Orc tribe.[1] He founded the independent nation of Orsinium for the Orcish race in 3E 399.[2] For centuries prior to this date, the Orcs had been homeless. He bought the letter Emperor Uriel Septim VII sent to Queen Mynisera of Daggerfall, and which was stolen by the Thieves Guild. His motivations were to use the letter as a pledge to bargain more independence for Orsinium.[1]
Following the Miracle of Peace, he controlled much of the Wrothgarian Highlands, as well as valuable coastline along the Bjoulsae River.[3] He is remembered as a skilled diplomat and a political genius.[4]
[edit] Notes
- Corpse Preparation v I mentions that a delegation of necromancers went to petition Gortwog to allow their practice in his kingdom.
