Woodborne was a lord of Wayrest in the late Third Era and betrothed to Princess Elysana of Wayrest. He laid a trap for King Lysandus of Daggerfall and was successful in murdering him in 3E 403. He had also planned a coup against King Eadwyre of Wayrest with the purpose of overthrowing him and proclaiming himself king of Wayrest. However his plans were revealed by the Hero of Daggerfall, and he was ambushed at his castle Woodborne Hall, during which he was executed.
