[edit] "Falmeris"

As Legoless pointed out here, there is no actual written source for the term "Falmeris". While this is certainly reason enough to omit information in most cases, it seems that calling the language of the Falmer "Falmeris" is only logical; after all, most other Elven languages (excluding that of the Ayleids) are referred to in such a fashion (i.e. "Dunmeris", "Aldmeris", "Dwemeris", etc.). So, my question to the community is, do we just assume that the language of the Falmer is called Falmeris based on this knowledge, or do we, since it is never referred to thus in-game, remove the phrase? --Kalis AgeaYes? I wrote that bit using the same logic you presented - there's "Dunmeris", "Aldmeris", "Dwemeris", so logically there's "Falmeris". However, it doesn't look like the term is used anywhere in the game. I'm going to remove the note, due to it's inaccuracy. Every time they describe the language itself in the game they use the term "Falmer Language". • JATalk 03:17, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Most likely the language is not "Falmeris" because of the unique situation of having been transformed into the "vile and twisted Falmer". Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would lead me to beleive that the translation of snow elves is not falmer, but some other -mer. If you find there is no difference, please make a note. --Aras Wulfvorson 04:37, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
The Snow Elves have always been called Falmer, but the word has come to refer to the "Betrayed" specifically. Falmeris would be technically correct, but it is never used. —Legoless 12:58, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling errors in Falmer Texts

There are a few errors in either the original transcribed text, or the half-translated one, as some words which havent been translated, dont match up. I am currently too busy to check the Falmer part of Calcelmos stone, I might later on, but if someone else could do it in the mean time, that would be great Kamica (talk) 22:30, 25 September 2012 (GMT)
