List under # or under T?[edit]

Okay, last book to split up - Before I do it, though, we should decide: List under # or under T? I personally favor #, if for no other reason than there's only one other book in that section now. Also, "36 Lessons of Vivec" is the name that you see in the game. (Though it's "Thirty-Six" in the text.) Also think maybe the page titles here should use "36", not "Thirty-Six", because that's what you see in the game. Unless we want to make 37 redirects (one for the main book and one for each sermon) so that either version will work. Any thoughts? This is the biggest split-job of all of them, so I want to be sure I'm doing it right before I start. --TheRealLurlock 13:17, 26 September 2006 (EDT)

I'd been thinking that perhaps this should be moved to "36", and listed under #. What I've tried to do where possible is make the page name match the inventory name (rather than the title you see in the book). While I doubt that's been done consistently with all the books, I think it makes most sense to use the inventory name, since that's the name players are most likely to see. So I would vote for having 37 pages under "36 Lessons of Vivec" with the actual text of the books, and just one redirect, from this page.--Nephele 13:51, 26 September 2006 (EDT)
It has been done. Might want to delete the Author and Desc pages for this version now. And that should be the last of the multi-volume books, unless I've forgotten something. Whew. --TheRealLurlock 15:37, 26 September 2006 (EDT)

False Thinking = Boethiah?[edit]

We've already linked the hell out of these sermons, but I think I see one more connection. Read Sermons 3 and 34, then 16, 31 and 33. Isn't Vivec referring to Boethiah, Daedric prince of deceit, when he says False Thinking? Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 05:00, 17 September 2012 (GMT)

Sermon 37[edit]

The new sermon should either be transcluded on this page or added to the list on Books Numeric. I'm not sure which is better. The note here implies that it's not part of the compilation, but it's also linked from sermon 36 as the next book. —Dillonn241 (talk) 22:18, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

I have no idea why this is being contested. It's part of this book series, so it should get transcluded to the article. The lore implications and the differing ESO "Collections" are irrelevant when it comes to making sensible decisions for organising wiki pages. —Legoless (talk) 22:22, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
Might as well rename the page to "The 37 Lessons of Vivec" then Bryn (talk) 22:25, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
The 36 Lessons is still the name that should be used. It is the name used in-game, even Sermon 37 is labelled the "36 Lessons". Also, Sermon 37 should definitely be included here. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 22:31, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

Who found the hidden messages of 36 Lessons of Vivec?[edit]

I read through the sermons again and found out the "hidden message" notice is true.

But one question, WHO found out the HIDDEN MESSAGE? There is no attribution/citation to this revelation. Does the UESP members found it, cited from an article in The Imperial Library or one of the Bethesda developer/story writer themself (e.g. like Micheal Kirkbride) reveal it? — Unsigned comment by 103.213.128.100 (talk) at 18:43 on 30 March 2024 (UTC)

I added it to this page years ago. The UESP does not normally practice attribution on articles directly, but on the history page instead. As for who discovered them, I didn't discover them directly, and I learned about most of them more than a decade before I added that editor note so don't remember where. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 18:43, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
