2. Edwinna provides funds to cover the purchase of a book she is seeking to assist in her research, Chronicles of Nchuleft.

[edit] Duties

Talk with Edwinna Elbert in the Ald'ruhn Mages Guild about duties, and you'll find she is looking for a rare Dwemer book Chronicles of Nchuleft. None of the Guild halls has a copy, so she gives you 250 septims to go out and buy one, suggesting you try a bookseller. (The book's value is exactly 250 septims, and unless you've mastered your Mercantile skill, there will be a markup, so you'll have to spend some of your own cash on this.)

[edit] Acquiring Chronicles of Nchuleft

If you check the local bookshop in Ald'ruhn, Codus Callonus, the owner, suggests trying to find a copy in Vivec. Indeed, you can find a copy of the Chronicles of Nchuleft in Jobasha's Rare Books in Vivec, Foreign Quarter Lower Waistworks (a light green book). Copies of the book can also be found at the following:

  • Redoran Records, Redoran Canton (have to steal)
  • Office of the Watch, Temple Canton (have to steal)
  • Library of Vivec, Temple Canton (have to steal)
  • Hall of Justice Secret Library, Temple Canton (have to steal)
• Dorisa Darvel, Bookseller, Balmora (for purchase)
• Holamayan Monastery (have to steal)
• Vasesius Viciulus, Trader, Molag Mar (for purchase)
• Llarar Bereloth's place in Sulipund (have to steal or take as part of plundering Sulipund after another Mages Guild quest)
• Nchuleft (free for the taking)

For those with the Tribunal expansion installed, this book is also located on the top shelf of the office of an Elder in Almalexia's Temple behind the Royal Palace where you arrive after being teleported from Ebonheart. It is difficult to steal from this location without a Chameleon spell as there are 3-4 people in that room at all times.

[edit] Deliver the Book to Edwinna

Return to Edwinna and give her the book, and you'll be rewarded with an increase in disposition. If you already had the book in your inventory, she compliments you on your scholarship and efficiency.
