The fort and its undead guardians

Fort Firemoth is an abandoned Imperial Legion fort situated on a circular formation of islands to the west of Seyda Neen and south of Hla Oad (map). It only appears with the Siege at Firemoth plug-in.

The area around the fort mostly comprises bare volcanic rock, although there is a decent number of Trama Root and Marshmerrow plants around the coastline. The biggest problem in getting to the fort is the islands' inhabitants: over 50 skeletons of various types inhabit can be found on the archipelago.

The fort itself has been ransacked, and little of value can be found, but a few items stand out. The Guard Quarters contains several hundred gold in sacks, several potions for restoring health and fatigue, as well as an array of imperial weapons and armor. The lower levels - the Mine, Lower Caverns and Upper Caverns - have several veins of raw ebony and a few loose samples too.

The final area, the Tomb, houses the powerful undead, Grurn, who must be killed to retrieve the target of the related quest - the Ward of Akavir.

[edit] Notes

  • A door leading from the Lower Caverns to the outside offers a more direct way of extracting raw ebony from the veins in the lower sections of the fort.
