Ilmeni Dren, a female Dunmer noble, is a House Cousin for House Hlaalu. Ilmeni Dren can be found at St. Delyn Canal South-One in Vivec. Ilmeni is Duke Vedam Dren's daughter. She is also one of Morrowind's most prominent anti-slavery campaigners, and leader of the Twin Lamps organization of abolitionists — which brings her into opposition to her uncle Orvas, owner of one of the biggest slave-run plantations in Vvardenfell.
At some point in the past, she had an affair with a Buoyant Armiger, who has had a glove of hers (given as a token of her affections) stolen from him. Fearing blackmail (since if the affair were known, it would be a family disgrace — presumably this man has neither birth nor deeds to recommend him), she has hired the Imperial Legion to find someone to recover it from the rogue Telvanni Varona Nelas (rather than turn to her own House or to the Fighters Guild — both of which are heavily involved with the Camonna Tong, and thus with her hated uncle, who would have good reason to blackmail her into winding down her anti-slavery activities). Nelas herself, with no malicious intentions of her own, is in hiding at Assumanu, on the far north end of Morrowind.
