This page gives descriptions for the various materials and styles found in Morrowind that armor and weapons are typically made of. The images and some of the information here were obtained from the Official Morrowind Site.

  1. Bonemold - Composed of softened shells hardened by resin. Middleweight.
  2. Chitin - Laminated insect shell design. Lightweight.
  3. Daedric - Expensive and highly refined form of ebony. Heavyweight.
  4. Dreugh - Made out of Dreugh shells and wax. Middleweight.
  5. Dwemer/Dwarven - Very rare metal used exclusively by the Dwemer. Heavyweight.
  6. Ebony - Very rare high quality black glass. Heavyweight.
  7. Glass - Created from rare metals and volcanic glass. Lightweight.
  8. Imperial - Combination of Chain, Plate, and Leather armor for Imperial Officers.
  9. Indoril - Ornate version of Chitin. Middleweight.
  10. Iron - Cheapest of the metals. Heavyweight.
  11. Netch Leather - High quality leather armor unique to Morrowind. Lightweight.
  12. Nordic - High quality steel enchanted with Nordic runes.
  13. Orcish - Light Plate Steel worn over cloth armor. Middleweight.
  14. Silver - Rare metal used mostly against were-creatures.
  15. Steel - Slightly better than Iron. Heavyweight.
