The Long Blade skill lets one use broadswords, sabers, longswords, claymores, katanas, and dai-katanas effectively.

Character Creation

The following races receive bonuses to their Long Blade skill:

• +15 bonus: Redguard, +10 bonus: Imperial, +5 bonus: Dunmer, Nord

The following classes have Long Blade as a Major skill:

• Archer, Bard, Crusader, Knight, Scout, Spellsword, Warrior

The following classes have Long Blade as a Minor skill:

• Assassin, Battlemage, Rogue

Trainers The Master Trainer of Long Blade is Ulms Drathen at the Armigers Stronghold in Molag Mar. Long Blades

This is a list of base long blade weapons. Complete lists of one-handed and two-handed long blade weapons, including enchanted and unique ones, are also available.

The broadsword, saber, longsword, and claymore are Western weapons. The katana and dai-katana are Akaviri-style blades. Long blades, one-handed or two-handed, and the most common weapons here. The claymore and dai-katana are two-handed weapons, and relatively heavy and slow; the rest are one-handed.
