This effect decreases your chance of catching common diseases by M%. If you are playing an Altmer, Argonian, Bosmer, or Redguard, you are already 75% resistant to disease, so you only need an additional 25% to make yourself completely immune to common diseases. Note that this will protect you from Vampirism as well.
