- "Of interest only to necromancers and alchemists, vampire dust is collected solely from the withering corpses of slain vampires."
Vampire Dust can be found by killing any vampire. Every vampire is guaranteed to leave a sample of dust when it dies. The fourth effect on this ingredient, Vampirism is merely decorative - since it does not exist on any other ingredient, you cannot make a potion with the effect. And since it isn't the first effect, you cannot experience it by eating the dust raw. Even if you could, however, it would not make you a vampire. The effect does nothing but make you look like a vampire. All of the other effects of vampirism can only be gotten by contracting it the normal way. See Vampires for details. Vampires can be found in the following locations: (divided by clan)
For a safer way to acquire the dust, the following vendors carry a small, but restocking supply:
- Anarenen (1)
- Anis Seloth (2)
- Brarayni Sarys (1)
- Nalcarya of White Haven (1)
Loose samples can be found in the following locations:
- Tel Uvirith, Menas' House (3)
- Aralen Ancestral Tomb (1)
- Ashmelech, (1 in Chest)
- Gnisis, Arvs-Drelen (1)
- Vivec, Aurane Frernis: Apothecary (1)
- Vivec, Telvanni Monster Lab (1)
- Wolverine Hall, Imperial Shrine (1)
