[edit] Detailed Walkthrough
[edit] Writ
Any of the Morag Tong Masters at the guildhalls will give you a writ for Ranes and Navil Ienith, who can be found in the Dren Plantation.
[edit] Navil and Ranes Ienith
Both brothers can be found in the basement of the Dren Plantation Villa, behind two locked doors (Ranes is invisible and will appear behind you once you attack Navil). Be careful, these two are powerful and can be a tough fight, especially with their paralyzing daggers.
Return to a quest giver to receive 2,000 gold for the writ.
[edit] Bugs
There is a possible bug in this quest. If you kill both the brothers but cannot finish the quest when you talk to the Morag Tong guild members, open the console and enter the command:
Journal MT_WritNavil, 100
This should allow you to finish the quest successfully.
[edit] Notes
- This quest is basically identical to the Thieves Guild quest to kill these two Camonna Tong brothers, so you might have already completed it. If you have already done so, the Master will accept the quest as complete; however he will be upset because you have killed them dishonorably without a writ (although all that happens is you lose the 2,000 gold reward). However, the Thieves Guild will not care if they are already dead. So if you plan to work for both factions, it's better to do the Morag Tong quest first, before you get to that quest for the Thieves Guild.
- There is an unusually high amount of gold hidden in the chest and the closet of the room the brothers reside in (about 10k in total), plus a Fiend Tanto and extravagant/exquisite sets of clothing. However, you will need to obtain Orvas Dren's Key from Orvas Dren to open the locks if your security skill is low (chest is lock level 95, closet is 80). Looting and selling the brothers' Wild Viperblade and two Glass Jinkblades can also fetch more gold.
Killing the two brothers can also upset Gathal Llethri who is also in the house. If you talk to him he will attack you on site. He carries some nice equipment including a Daedric Katana, a Daedric Shield, Orcish Greaves, Orcish Boots and a pair of Ebony Boots.
The same thing happens if you talk to Orvas Dren. He will attack you for killing his men. He is wearing a full set of Orcish armor and carries an Ebony Spear. Dren plays an important part of the main quest and one of the solutions to that part is killing him so taking him out now, if you can handle it, might be the way to go.
- If your execution is reported as a crime, you will get 5 pts less of the Disposition increase.
[edit] Quest Stages
These Codes can be used along with the Journal Console Command and Quest ID given above the chart(s) to update the quest to a certain point.
