Does the arrow damage simply stack (making it pretty much useless) or multiply (making it massively important)?
- It is added to the damage range of the base weapon before any other modifications are done to damage. Lukish_ Tlk Cnt 14:45, 18 November 2008 (EST)
Any chance you know where a formula for bow+arrow damage is? I just want to know if it really is worth it to amass a lot of glass arrows from that guy in Hawkmoth. Stouf761 02:19, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Marksman glitch.
When firing and arrow or any other marksman projectile, depending how far up or down you are looking, the projectile will hook sharply in a perfect bend midair. It's annoying for trying to hit targets way below you if you are on the high ground, or vice versa. This happens on two separate GOTY installs, with and without mods. Does not affect the Xbox version. I was wondering if this is a widespread issue and if it's worth adding to this article and/or notifying the Morrowind Code Patch guys (If so, how do I find them?!), thanks. -FuzedBox —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.131.100.186 (talk • contribs) on 25 July 2009.
- I don't understand what you mean. Having just played for a few minutes with firing arrows up and down, they behave exactly as I'd expect. Perhaps it's just that "hook sharply in a perfect bend midair" isn't really very clear. –rpeh•T•C•E• 17:35, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
I ran tests on both sexes to every race and compiled a list as to the intensities of the effects, and can add them to the article. Also, I exchanged a couple messages with Hrnchamd, creator of the 'Morrowind Code Patch' and he acknowledges the glitch. He says it is a tricky matter of fixing animations and scaling stuff (presumably height of the firing point; He didn't say). It is now on his list of things to be fixed and will take a while. --FuzedBox 21:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Excuse me jumping into a month-old discussion, but yes there is a bug. Unfortunately, a significant number of people refuse to believe it exists, for whatever reason. The simple test is as follows: Create a Dunmer Male character, and buy a bow and some arrows from Arrille. Then shoot some arrows (perhaps use the nearby mudcrab for target practice). Your arrows should fire directly where the crosshair is pointing. Now try the same thing with a Nord Male. The arrows will fire absolutely nowhere near where the crosshair is pointing, and if you point your crosshair at your target, you won't hit it.
- The problem boils down to this: if your character has height 1.0 and weight 1.0, your arrows will fly straight. If not, they will be slightly off. Weight seems to have a bigger impact than height - with a Bosmer Female you have to aim more towards where the arrow is nocked, rather than where the crosshair is pointing.
- If your arrows are firing 'off-centre', this is magnified if you aim upwards or downwards.
