Oy, I had a fun experience with this quest yesterday. I was in Balmora, trying to go anywhere but the South Wall and Caius's house (perversely. This thime through, I don't intend to do the Main Quest), and I stopped by Hecerinde's house. Talking to him about the South Wall lead him saying he had neglected his duties, and a journal entry. Funny, I wasn't even a member of the Guild yet. So, I go to the South Wall, talk to Habasi about the South Wall...she thanks me, removes my (non-existant) bounty. I ask her fo advancement, she says that I'm not a member yet. I join. Then I ask for advancement, she makes me a Wet Ear. Now, here's the sad part: when I ask her for jobs, she says she has no more left for me.

My hypothesis is that because I hadn't visited the South Wall yet, the game gave me that option to talk about because it thought I hadn't found it yet. Totally unconfirmed, but perhaps worth mentioning somewhere (here, or perhaps the glitches page). Somercy 10:26, 14 September 2007 (EDT)

You know, that's a good point. It's a bug that's been fixed for so long by various unofficial patches, I had forgotten all about it. It's something that should probably be noted here, and also on Hecerinde's NPC page. --Gaebrial 10:52, 14 September 2007 (EDT)
I'm playing the Xbox Platinum Faves edition, if that helps any. It struck me as amusing at the time, though... Somercy 10:54, 14 September 2007 (EDT)

Article is Helpful[edit]

After quite some time, being unable to get anyone to talk to me about an Altmer, a Master of Security, or even Security, I finally remember to come here and almost immediately see that I first have to talk to Habasi about "Altmer". Naturally, I'm no longer in Balmora now, but things should go better when I get back. Downstrike (talk) 23:26, 22 March 2013 (GMT)
