Cinia Urtius: link or not?[edit]

I saw Cinia hadn't got a link yet, so I added it, but then saw that it had previously been removed. In my opinion it is nice to have the link since it contains the extra information that the UMP fixes the bug. What is the rationale not to have a link there? Thanks, --Dux2222TalkEmail 10:09, 11 July 2008 (EDT)

The link was removed before we started linking to the UMP, I believe. I'd certainly leave the link in place now. –RpehTCE 10:16, 11 July 2008 (EDT)

UMP needs renaming[edit]

Not quite sure where to file this, but the "UMP" is now called the Morrowind Mod:Morrowind Patch Project - the UMP template needs fixing. Reve 20:15, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Imperial Chain Armor[edit]

I see that under Imperial Chain Armor the pauldrons are listed on this page, despite the fact that the pauldrons are heavy armor. Is this because they are part of the set, or is this an oversight? If they are listed, should an annotation be made to indicate that even though they are part of this set, that particular piece is heavy armor? Ether rogue 15:35, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

I went ahead and made the annotation.--Ratwar 17:00, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Moved note[edit]

  • The best unique cuirass in the game, the Ebony Mail, is medium class and has a 333 maximum AR (though this only counts for the cuirass portion of your total AR). This means that a character with the best equipment in the game would need to maximize their medium armor skill as well as their heavy armor skill to reach the highest legitimate armor value possible.

Dragonbone cuirass also has a 333 armor rating, why is it listed as necessary to have maxed medium armor to have max armor skill?--Catmaniac66 23:23, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

I think it meant best as in "most useful with all the enchantments" rather than "strongest", but that's not the kind of personal opinion we should include anyway. rpeh •TCE 11:08, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
That is not what is says. There are some piece of Heavy armor that have better armor ratings then their respective Medium armor pieces. Therefore you cannot build the best armor outfit completely out of medium armor. Therefore, you would also have to max your Heavy armor skill to get the best armor rating. Rpeh is probably right in what it means as "best" meaning that its enchantment is better than Dragonbone, as well as it being lighter. --Brf 13:46, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
After looking at the enchantment on Ebony Mail, I actually realized how beastly it is. For some reason I always thought it was a cast on use, not constant effect. I would agree now that Ebony Mail is the best one, but for the statement to be accurate it needs to include that the enchantment is basically slightly less powerful in one category and makes up for it with the shield enchantment. I have no problem adding some form of Ebony Mail being the best curaiss in the game back onto the page.--Catmaniac66 15:35, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
It's the cuirass I use, but endorsing objects as "best" is dangerous on a wiki. Somebody who prefers the Lord's Mail or whatever will start an edit war. Stating that a set of stats is the highest is one thing, but opinions are a bad idea. rpeh •TCE 16:31, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Regarding the best suit of Medium Armour[edit]

Of the base armour types, the best possible suit with all official add-ons (and with the Bloodmoon 1.6 patch; otherwise Nordic Mail is clearly the best for all the non-helm pieces) is this...

- Adamantium Helm, from Tribunal or Helm of Tohan (rating 70)

- Gold Cuirass and Pauldrons, from LeFemm Armor (rating 60)

- Royal Guard Left and Right Gauntlets, from Tribunal (rating 55)

- Ice Greaves and Shield, from Bloodmoon (rating 50)

- Royal Guard or Ice Boots, from Tribunal or Bloodmoon respectively (rating 50)

...for a total armour rating of 57.5*Skill/30. I feel like this may or may not be worth noting, and I'm not sure where it would best be noted given the dependence on so many different add-ons, so I'm putting it here. Magic9mushroom (talk) 11:03, 2 December 2019 (GMT)
