Amelion Tomb is a medium tomb northeast of Leyawiin containing undead (quest-related). [edit] It contains two zones: Amelion Tomb and Sarcophagus Chamber.

• This cave can be entered, fully explored, and all items retrieved without starting the related quest.
• The unique loot Brusef Amelion's Armor (a full set, including cuirass, boots, greaves, gauntlet, helmet and shield) and Brusef Amelion's Sword can all be found here.
  • Only the cuirass and sword are enchanted; these are also the only two items that you are asked to retrieve in the quest Amelion's Debt. However, neither item is tagged as being a quest item: they both have weights, can be discarded, and before starting the quest, picking either up does not trigger the appearance of the quest in your journal. This is probably because the items are not essential to complete the associated quest (also the quest is a Fighters Guild quest with several prerequisite quests).
  • The other armor items are really just overly heavy pieces of unenchanted light armor. The armor ratings and health of all the pieces are comparable to common Chainmail Armor. However, Brusef's Armor weighs a total of 126 pounds, compared to 19 pounds for the full set of chainmail armor. About the only advantage that Brusef's armor has over chainmail armor is that it can be sold for a bit more gold.
• This cave contains 43 Wisp Stalk plants.

Amelion Tomb, Exterior

• The entrance to the tomb is in a small graveyard next to the banks of the Lower Niben.
• The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 24, -32
• This location's map marker (M on map) is named Amelion Tomb (editor name AmelionTombMapMarker). The entrance door is NE of the marker, 30 feet away.
• 1 Daedra may appear near the entrance if the nearby Oblivion Gate is open.
• Up to 2 Mud Crabs may appear near the entrance.
• 1 Nirnroot is at location N on map
• The following plants can be found near the entrance: 7 Bog Beacon plants, 5 Dragon's Tongue plants, 11 Somnalius plants, and 14 Stinkhorn plants

[edit] Zone 1: Amelion Tomb

The first zone contains several pieces of Brusef Amelion's armor, but only unenchanted items (boots, gauntlets, shield, and helmet).

There are two doors from here to the second zone. Door C (closest to the tomb's entrance) is on an upper level and can only be used to exit from the second zone (the two nearby treasure items are also in the upper level room). To get to the second zone, you need to make your way through the rest of the tomb to the second door at D. The main obstacle is a "Rock Wall" at E on the map which is opened by pulling on the adjacent rope (cyan dot on the map).

Treasure:

• Brusef Amelion's Gauntlets are at location g on map; watch out for the falling rock trap (T).
• Brusef Amelion's Boots are at b, hidden behind a stone coffin.
• Brusef Amelion's Shield is at s, behind a broken crate.
• Brusef Amelion's Helmet, at h, can only be retrieved after you have gone through the Sarcophagus Chamber. It is in the upper-level room accessed by door B, behind the Wisp Stalks.

Traps:

• 1 Cave In trap at location T on map. Getting past the fallen rocks can be worthwhile, since there is a chest at the end of the tunnel.

Doors and Gates:

• There are three doors in/out of this zone
  • 1 door (at Out) leads outside
  • 2 doors (at C and D) lead to the zone Sarcophagus Chamber. C can only be used to return from the second zone, because it is on an upper level.
• 1 Rock Wall is at location E on map, opened by a rope pull (the cyan dot on the map).

[edit] Zone 2: Sarcophagus Chamber

The Sarcophagus Chamber is where the quest-related cuirass and sword are located (Q). The same grand burial chamber also contains a boss-level chest (B) and is protected by a boss-level undead (A).

You will enter this area at the south end, through door D. Be sure to return to the first zone using door C, in order to retrieve a few extra items.
