Biene Amelion is a Breton blademaster living in Water's Edge. She requests your help resolving a personal financial situation of her father; later Biene is the unfortunate victim of a misguided mercenary quest.
Biene lives a quiet life before her untimely death. At midday she has a two hour meal, and has another at 6pm. The rest of the time she relaxes inside her farmhouse, never sleeping.
After Burz gro-Khash hands you the contract for the Amelion's Debt, visiting Biene will net you the following greeting: "Hello! You must be from the Fighters Guild. I'm glad you're here. I need your help to repay a debt." When asked about the debt, she will explain: "I'm afraid so. My father had a bit of an issue with gambling. I'm afraid he built up a rather large debt. Now that he's gone, the debt is mine." On her father’s whereabouts, she will say: "Gone. Dragged from our house in the night. To pay the debt, I'd like to sell the sword and armor of my grandfather, or I might be next!" She will also reveal the amount of money she owes: "A great deal, over 1,000 septims. My father was quite a gambler. Quite a bad gambler." When asked about the sword and armor she wants you to collect, she will reply: "They were buried with my grandfather in the family tomb. The sword and cuirass were enchanted, and should cover my debt. Please, get them for me." At this point, you can choose to hand her the 1,000 septims, thus shortening the task at hand: "Are you certain? I can't thank you enough. Please, though. If you decide to retrieve the sword and armor, keep them. At least until I can repay you." She will also add: "I can't tell you how much your help means to me. Thank you again." Should you choose to retrieve the items for her, she will point you towards the Amelion family tomb: "Not far, in my family's ancestral tomb. Here, I can mark it on your map. Please, return them to me, so I can pay off my father's debts."
Later, when you return from the Amelion Tomb with the sword and armor, Biene will greet you: "Hello again! Have you had any luck finding the sword and armor?" When you give her the items, she will be overwhelmed: "You've found them? Fantastic! I can't tell you what this means to me." Once again, you can choose to give her the 1,000 septims to pay off her debts; if you do so, she will let you keep the items and say: "Why... thank you! This will be enough to pay off my debtors. Please, keep the sword and armor until I can pay you back. Thank you again." If you choose to let her keep the items and sell them herself, she will thank you: "Thank you. Thank you so much. Hopefully, I'll be able to sell these for enough to pay my debt. You're a lifesaver." When you leave her, her last words will be: "I'll never forget this."
