The ingredient Cheese Wheel is only found as food. Cheese Wheels are a different ingredient from, and have different alchemical ingredients than, Cheese Wedges; Cheese Wheels are the more rare of the two. Cheese Wheels cannot be duplicated in the Arch Mage's Enchanted Chest.

68 guaranteed samples can be found in 45 different locations (these samples will respawn, since Cheese Wheels are food). The places with the highest numbers of samples are:

• 18 samples are in the Imperial Prison Sewer. 12 are in the Sewers section that is only accessed during the quest Scheduled for Execution; 6 are in the Sewers section that is only accessed during the Tutorial.
• 3 samples are in the Brina Cross Inn
• 3 samples are in the Chorrol Mages Guild (2 in the library, 1 on the main floor)
• 2 samples are in the Roxey Inn
• 2 samples are in Bleaker's Way Goodwill Inn
• 2 samples are in Vilena Donton's House in Chorrol
• 2 samples are in The Drunken Dragon Inn

It can also be found randomly in the inventories of food vendors. Shivering Isles adds an additional 2 samples.
